Update: recall software update was completed and I now have my truck! Interestingly, the recall notice went away in the app. So I think updates are getting done.
I'm very happy to report that I finally picked up my Maverick last evening. Love it. For those of you waiting, be patient -- its a slow process from ordering to delivery. I thought I would give a timeline to give some perspective.
On August 13, 2021, I went to a small town Ford dealer in...
I started this thread about a month ago and thought I would add an update. My truck was built on 2/14 and, for a brief time, my delivery date was 3/11. Then the delivery date went away. I contacted my dealer who told me there was a chip hold. Weeks have gone by and I called Ford customer...
Thanks. My delivery date of 3/11 is now gone -- the dealer says my truck has a chip "hold" and that is all they know. I suspect that it was the Copilot 360 but who knows. I'm now thinking April, hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.
I'm in SA too. Mine had a build date of 2/14 and has a delivery date of 3/11. Checked with my dealer today and the visibility report says that mine is on a chip hold, still in Mexico. I'm beginning to think that 3/11 delivery might slip.
My dealer forwarded me the same build week email. My truck is not built and scheduled delivery is 3/11. I have never received an email directly from Ford. Based on what I'm reading, Its not that strange at all. Some get them, some don't.
There is a link earlier in the thread to check whether various electronic modules are active -- the modules run everything in the truck, as I understand it.
This is all great to hear -- with most of everyone having a mid-February build date and a mid-March delivery estimate, I'm having increased confidence that we may see our Mavericks next month. On March 23, it will have been exactly 6 months of waiting -- I think it was worth the wait.
