It may only be with the Keyed versions.
When I would take it out of NT mode it would exit allowing me to drive, but not allowing me to get it back into NT mode.
It was out of NT mode - but didn't realize it???
Strange - but I have never had that issue again with disconnecting.

Terry when u "force" the gas engine to start (most probably from park), it does shut off when u switch thru the gears correct? Then I know u do "force" the gas engine start a couple of times.
Members, I would love if those with experience far distance flat towing their Maverick Hybrid would chime in.

Mark I had a roadmaster tec install it for me. The actuator is under the carpet near the driver door. He did not remove the front seat. The unit is placed under the back seat.
I did install the base plate - not difficult. Toughest part is finding a good way of attaching the 6 way plug and break away. Watch some videos from etrailer about removing the fascia - take ur time, no issues. Remember Loctite!!
