not necessarily...the engine has knock sensors that adjust the ignition timing to stop the knock....so in reality....the higher octanes will give you the amount of torque and HP that Ford advertises....maybe more if Ford rates it on 87 octane.
why would you not use the rear speaker feeds and enable auto turn on?...the speaker connections are way closer and power and ground are the only things to have to suffer through?
i just work on them and tell you what i see maybe fords AWD system doesnt work as well as Honda or Subaru or some other manufacturer....just my 2 cents....and 40 caliber ....its ALWAYS on.
it will sound way better if you mount it under your rear seat...in the storage compartment....just cut a piece of wood to mount it to and set it under there...or for just testing purposes set it under there loosely , put the seat down and have a listen..
you guys are missing the point on the whole Maverick build....my wish would be that they only offered 1 version....and XL at 15k....and then let the aftermarket kick in....to let everyone mod them themselves....sort of like the foxbody Mustangs.....Aftermarket can do better for less more times...
