From what I remember reading in past threads, it has to do with the EPA rating being based on the default drive mode or some such nonsense.

Honestly, every truck should come with a hitch installed standard. When my dealer converted my order from 22 to 23, they left off the hitch. Didn't realize until it was too late to change. Bought the OEM for 85 after points, but haven't installed it yet

My understanding is that only the Lariat ecoboost has the electronic brake booster bc of acc. XL/XLT do not.

I've only seen the one in depth install on a hybrid because it had the brake booster. As far as I know it's not possible on the EcoBoost.

Ah yes, we love a dealer that breaks federal advertising regulations. That's actually a fantastic situation to be in, because then you can strong arm them into actually giving you the price in exchange for not going straight to the FTC and them getting a hell of a lot more in fines.
