  1. 58K Mile Impressions

Yes...I've had all the recalls done including the backup camera. Still get the radio problem from time to time.
  2. 58K Mile Impressions

85% of the value...I'll look into that.
  3. 58K Mile Impressions

Good for you. Apparently I have a Maverick that might have been made on a Friday. My truck hasn't been so faultless.
  4. 58K Mile Impressions

I haven't posted in a while. My 2022 Maverick XL now has 58,000 miles on it. The truck has been great basic transportation...it rides great and is quiet. It's our preferred vehicle for trips. But...several things have soured me on it. Shortly after I bought it, a rattle behind the...
  5. Vibration issue...

I just wanted to post a follow up. I took my Maverick to the dealer and they eventually did find the cause of the rattle and they fixed it (with double sided tape they said). I had to take the truck in for the side airbag recall and they took care of the rattle too.
  6. My DIY Bed Rail...

That's a good question. Mine only had 4 originally. If it did have six, I probably would have installed this anyway. I'll likely put in two more eyelets...never can have too many tie down points I'm thinking.
  7. My DIY Bed Rail...

All parts purchased at Home Depot except the eye bolts and they were bought from Lowes. The eye bolts weren't the shoulder variety, but they had a nut that I torqued up against the eye and that provided a shoulder for the flange washer. The flange washer deformed when the eye bolt was...
  8. Love the Flexbed!

It was a 2X8 that I cut down to a 2X6. The 2X8 worked, but the 2X6 was much easier to manipulate into place. An additional 2X4 on top makes the partition even higher if needed and that's what I did. There's plenty of height in that slot for the additional 2X4. I believe the dimensions for...
  9. Love the Flexbed!

Hope the video of the Cubby's comes through. I added a 12V marine socket to the drivers side Cubby. I may add another socket to the passenger side later...dunno. Interesting story about ordering the Cubbys from fordparts.com. The order was still processing after several days so I went by...
  10. Love the Flexbed!

One of the beauties of getting the Maverick is hauling fuel for my Cessna 172D. I can put ethanol free fuel (called marine gas around here) in the 172, but I have to haul it from the gas station. Before, I'd have to put it in back of my Tiguan and I was always concerned about getting rear...
  11. Installing Cruise and Warranty

That's a good read. It's certain that my XL was configured from the factory to not have cruise control. Now...what failure could be caused by the use of cruise that would not be attributable to a factory defect? I've got to take my Maveric in for the side airbag recall and I'll ask the...
  12. Vibration issue...

....I bought my XL used (8,600 miles on it), but have noticed a vibration coming from somewhere near the instrument cluster. It happens only on rough roads, or bumps. If I hold the dash visor that is over the cluster, it stops. Anyone else with this issue?
  13. Installing Cruise and Warranty

I bought a used 2022 Maverick XL which had about 8,600 miles on it. I understand I still have some of the bumper to bumper, and power train warranty on the truck. I'd like to install Ford cruise, but am concerned that doing so will void my warranty. I saw a thread on here that stated a person...

  15. E-DIY Connector

    Excellent...placed an order...thanks!!!
  16. E-DIY Connector

Is there a source for that connector other than the Ford dealership? Maybe it's a standard type connector. Tnx,
  17. This is NOT a small truck!

I agree. I traded in a 2018 Tiguan for my Maverick, and the Maverick feels and drives much bigger.
  18. Hi...just joined the club...

I bought a used 2022 Maveric XL Monday with 8K miles on it. Love it so far. I've purchased the Cubby's to go in the bed and I'll add the 12v adapter inside those. I'm also looking at doing the cruise control mod in the near future. I'm in Mobile, Alabama.
