I find that the lens is often dirty and the view is obscured. My 16 F 150 had the lens integrated into the tailgate handle which is higher up and in 4 years I seldom had issues.

Got to use Trucklette Parmigiana as a real truck today. The load consists of ten 50 lb boxes of gym wipes. Truck drove great. Little sag and the acceleration on Rt 95 felt effortless. Thoroughly impressed!
