Hi, I do not have your system, I do have an "RVI" system, and the first time I used it, going from a non-hybrid car, to my hybird Maverick, it also locked up. I found the my brake type setting was wrong, there are two types of systems, vacuum and active. I had to change my setting. Here is the...
yes, 2024 maverick, we use the Demco base plate, Blue ox tow bars, and RVI braking system, with their battery charger system. Hope this helps, take care.
Hi, well I may be over doing it, but I have towed for over 7000 miles with no problems, with that said, I follow the 6 hour rule, but I do make sure the motor is running, (put in park, and press the gas to the floor will start it) and I do sit there and go through the gears a few times, 5 mins...
I see what you are asking, and also not sure what that means. I have flat towed over 2000 miles with no problems, most of the time we do not tow more than 6 hours, but when I do, I do get in and start the truck and run it thru the gears for 3 to 5 mins, make sure you keep your foot on the...
hi, yes from what I understand you need to start the gas motor for 3 to 5 mins, each 6 hours of flat towing, keep your foot on the brake and shift thru the gears, this will lube them, you do not have to unhook, just place it back in flat tow mode when done. I have towed ours over 2000 miles on...
I have flat tow our 2024 hybird for over 2000 miles and have not had any problems, I would make sure your arms on the tow bar are locking after you move a few feet.
I have towed on three trips now and all was great, BUT I did hit my brake with my foot getting out before turning off the truck, and that will take it out of tow mode. lol
We just did our first tow of 1500 miles, TN to Fl and back with the Demco base plate and blue oz bars, riv brake system and no problems, and the Demco does not have to cut anything.
Hi, just had the Demco baseplate installed on my new 2024 Maverick, and I use Blue Ox bars, and we just towed to Florida from Tennessee with no problems, over 750 miles, very ease to set up and use, and it looks great. hope this helps.
thanks for update, I'm just now setting up my truck with the Demco, and I do use the RVI system too, I'm planning on hooking up the 12v power plug straight to the battery under the seat with 12 ga. cable and plug and inline fuse. I will just unhook it when done towing. So what do you think? thanks
