Precisely - that’s what I accused them of and of course they denied. Then said go to body shop and file claim against protection program and it excludes glass.

Rain X Bug Removing - have used in every car, this truck for 1st 3 years, and 2 motorhomes with no issues. It is the only thing that removes the love bugs we get 3 times a year in Florida. If not removed from paint in 48 hrs the acid their smashed bodies leave eats thru paint hence the ceramic...

It was bought new and the dealership applied a $799 ceramic protection pkg. I have tried all of the suggestions except lacquer thinner and the Mirror Glaze Plastic Polish. It has been raining every day so took a break. Had a fellow Maverick owner visiting from SC look at it today. It doesn’t...

Update for all following. The Magic Eraser didn’t work, nor did 4 brands of glasd cleaner to include Rain-X and Pella Professional Glass Cleaner. The blades were not Rain-X; they were Ford part nos NZ6Z-17528A & NZ6Z-17528-BA, both priced @ $25.98 ea. I am retired. The truck is parked at home...

I hope it wears off. I thought about rubbing compound but Nation Glass recommended against that option. Thanks Glen, I’ll give that a try. I have a box and hadn’t thought of that.

No you can’t feel anything - that’s why the razor blade scraping didn’t make sense. I tried 3 different brands of glass cleaner - two applications each - before taking it to Ford dealer where I purchased truck & $799 ceramic protection package. Other than too many recalls & 3 trips back to get...

Have ‘23 XL w/20k mi. Bought $799 dealer protection pkg. After new wiper blades installed at 18k oil chg wipers have removed exterior tint (?). Dealer tried to acid wash. Sent to body shop who tried to scrape w/razor blade. I think they accidently applied ceramic to glass but they say no...

  9. Putting on aftermarket wheels...

I bought my after market wheels from Discount Tire & they remounted, balanced and offer free rotation and flat fixes for $22 per tire. I also have a classic car. Bought RWL OEM tires from Sam’s. Tire tech had owned same car and year many years ago. Saved $220 buying at Sam’s. He was extra...

Glad you walked away. Good luck with your insurance company. Took us 2 years to settle after our SUV was totalled when hit from rear while parked by guy doing 55 who was underinsured. Impressive integrity for a roll over.
  12. AlphaEquipt Foxtrot Wheels

Wow - I just looked at all the taxes and brokerage fees you would have which just about doubles costs of tires or wheels. The Coho Ferry isn’t much better for a round trip. COSTCO had great wheel prices too and I see they have 100 stores in Canada but likely don’t offer free shipping like here.
  13. AlphaEquipt Foxtrot Wheels

Tire Rack shipping here is free. Maybe if you don’t live too far North you could take a vacation & get wheels in states. Mine were shipped from MI to FL and took 6 days with a 3 day holiday weekend in the middle.
  14. AlphaEquipt Foxtrot Wheels

    Those look great too.

Took advantage of Memorial Day sale at Tire Rack to upgrade steelies on my ‘23 XL AWD. Really like the improved look and only $719 out the door with mounting, balancing, centering rings, and lug nuts incl tax.
  16. Sad Maverick Owner. So mad at Ford...

You made 3 mistakes - first you should not have accepted it and gotten in it and driven off the lot. 2nd you should have immediately while at dealership contacted your insurance to let their lawyers fight with Ford dealer’s insurance and lawyer’s, and 3rd you should have called the local police...
  17. Ford Service Centers in Tampa Bay area

Bartow Ford services my Maverick and their Mobile Service was superb doing recall in my driveway. I had used them for several years on a Ford chassis based Winnebago motorhome until their insurance got so high they quit servicing RVs. I then used Gator Ford & they were great, timely & reasonable.
