Awesome thread with great explanations of your process. Really appreciate the info.
I did have a question or two, though. For the Plug n play harness, you said you got a custom one? Did you just ring them up and describe what you wanted to have them make it? I'm following a somewhat similar...
Not on facebook, so can't confirm on the event page, but I did get clearance from my boss to attend. Looking forward to meeting up with some like minded folks!!
It's a bit of a drive as I am in San Diego, and I need to check with the Mrs., but I am tentatively in to at least show up, maybe even get a dyno run done. Will update the thread with confirmation before the event.
Maybe I can drop her and the kiddos off her families house in Norco...
Are there any known incompatibilities with respect to having enabled some things with Forscan before flashing with the AP?
For example, I enabled all drive modes(have FX4, added back eco and sport modes) and enabled the Eco Coach in the dash display using Forscan and editing the specific flags...
This is great stuff. Can you speak to the quality of the turbo swap now that you've driven it a bit more? More or less laggy? Does it pull harder to redline? Or, does it largely feel like the stock turbo, just with a bit more gusto?
I just want to say I appreciate the work you are doing here, and pics/documentation of the process.
Super excited to see how the Corsair turbo works out. Solid potential for a really nice, stock looking sleeper build. Do you think with the turbo upgrade you will be approaching the limits of...
Congrats @pa-outdoorsman on your almost-delivered truck. I finished up my dealer process and brought home my Maverick this evening. No fuss, shenanigans, or anything else; VERY pleased with Gosch Ford and their integrity throughout the process. And thanks everybody on this thread for the...
Just got an email from my dealer. My truck has arrived, just needs to do predelivery inspections and such, then will be ready for me to take it away. I may get it this weekend, though more likely Monday or Tuesday.
I share all of your late-delivery pains. My truck has been sitting in a rail yard, apparently waiting to get transferred to a local rail, where it can make final delivery to the local port, then to get picked up by truck and delivered to the dealer.
It's been at the current yard for almost two...
Finally got a change in status. The chat rep was able to tell me that the truck is traveling via Union Pacific and is in Colton, CA(about 1.5 hours from me). Still no further rail information to provide, which seems a bit off as it is on a rail car right now and in transit. But, at least it...
How are you all getting your rail car information from Ford Chat? Is there a magic phrase I need to utter?
Every time I have asked for this, they tell me the only thing they can say is that the vehicle is in Transit. One of the reps was able to tell me when the truck was in Nogales, but they...
I'm in San Diego(North county) as well, and pretty much identical situation to yours. Almost fully loaded XLT, ordered January '22, built and shipped tail end of last week. When I contacted Ford chat yesterday, they told me it was in Nogales. Looking pretty good to possibly be delivered...
I too got an email at about 2am this morning that my truck shipped. Expected delivery is 12/9-12/15. Should be here well in time for a Merry Christmas.
My truck is now showing built in the tracker and says "Shipped." I'm in Southern California, so maybe my travel time from Hermosillo will be fairly short and the truck won't need to sit too long in a rail yard waiting for a carrier.
Getting pretty excited...
My relevant numbers:
HRM-002140, 4325, and 293/633.
A little bit of math to see how things line up:
2399 - 2140 = 259 (Order number separation)
4550 - 4325 = 225 (Sequence number separation)
457 - 293 = 164 (daily build number separation)
Who knows if any of these are intended to line up, but...
Mine was in exactly the same state and I got exactly the same response from the Ford Chat(online and phone). 11/1 was when I saw it go to "In Production" but it wasn't until this morning that modules were populated and an actual date appeared below the "In Production" text on the progress bar.
My truck is earlier in the daily sequence than yours so I am guessing your modules should pop a little later this morning or early this afternoon. Definitely just a guess though.
293/633 for the daily build order and 4325 for the overall sequence number(if that is in fact what it is).
