Majority of the reviews I have read people are pleased with the Maverick. I'm not sure I have read a negative review. I totally get your disappointment with the ordering process.

XLT 2.0 received e-mail from Ford that it shipped 12/16, e-mail estimated deliver 1/3 - 1/9/22. Arrived at my dealer 12/30. Granite City, Il. (St. Louis Mo) Pleasantly surprised.

I have a XLT Oxford White Maverick, Thinking I would like body color Exterior door handles/pulls like the Lariats. Has anyone investigated install new door handles,? are there covers that can be purchased?

I received notice from Ford that my Maverick was built 12/15/21, on 12/16/21 received notice that it had shipped, I took Deliver on 12/30/21, not sure if it shipped truck or rail. but I live in the St. Louis Mo. area. Dealer (Weber Ford Granite City) told me it had just arrived that morning.

leave them Stainless Steel. Love the look and will never rust. Ford should offer that, how often do you need a bottle opener.

I wonder if I can just use my Factory Wheels?

Actually my current truck also had transporter damage. It is a 2005 Silverado, and to this day you can not tell the top was repainted. I am sure it happens regularly. and this was a retail truck, just saying hopefully it does not happen to mine. but it is what it is.

Has there been any discussion on how long after a build date one could expect deliver? I'm guessing 3-4 weeks.
