I was cut off by a bad driver and almost crashed into her. When I leaned on the horn to express my chagrin, my Maverick (2022 Hybrid XLT) announced in a female voice: "That wasn't very nice!"
I had to laugh, though the other driver deserved it. Anyone else had this happen?
I think it's called 'blow-moulded' plastic, maybe pioneered by Jeep. You Tube has some good posts on how to fix as well. Hope I can do it without removing the bumper, but may have to.
Thanks for all the suggestions, folks. I guess I have nothing to lose by trying. Plastic welding seems like a good option, and the tool is sure to cost less than my $500 deductible.
Hi, all. Anyone experienced this kind of damage? (in my case, from a parking lot hit-and-run). The bodyshop says I need a whole new bumper, but I'm thinking it could be punched out from the inside and wind up looking close to new. My 2022 Hybrid otherwise still looks brand new. Happy to receive...
