Love my 22 Maverick, but decided that past me was wrong and I actually needed the 4k tow package, so ordered me a 24 Lariat a couple weeks ago. Just got my first email saying they are targeting build week of April 1.
Didn't see this post until today, picked up my Velocity Blue January 2022. I live just south of Madison / Verona and am amazed on the number of Mav's I see driving around.
My Yeti came in the mail a couple weeks after the recall service. But I do have a new rattle in the passenger door that I can't imagine is related to the recall.
Mostly dudes, but one of my wife's female coworkers apparently has one on order, and when we showed up at the company picnic she asked about mine, so I gave her the full tour.
Apparently she just got her email this week that it's in production.
Not sure if everyone who actually got their Maverick gets the same attention I do, but I wanted to share a couple of "fun" times I got asked about my truck.
1 - Getting onto Ft. Bragg to visit my son, the guard at the gate wanted to chat about the truck for a while.
2 - The person behind me in...
Just bungee cords to keep it in place, I don't keep it in there all the time, just when I need it. It sits perfect height wise, so you don't even see the box unless you walk over to the bed of the truck.
A few days after I bought mine while parked at the vet's, I got the double take and full walk around from one of the employees. Chatted with him about it.
The only other real person who wanted to talk about it was my dad, who asked me to take it when visiting them (they live 9 hours away)...
For the odd long trip where I want a dry box I picked up a Poly Utility Chest like this one https://www.farmandfleet.com/products/1396613-dee-zee-35-poly-utility-chest.html. Works for me and still light and east to remove.
I drove across some snow packed roads in MO. Put it in slippery and thought the truck had zero troubles, was super happy with how well it handled the snow.
Now why I had to drive to MO to find snow when I live in WI is anyone's guess.
After my first long trip in mine, the biggest minor gripe is my wife's coat she uses as a blanket while on a trip kept blocking my cup holder. Kind of wish they just centered the two holders instead of putting them on the passenger side.
Yes. I'm a windows down driver during the warmer seasons, so having a moonroof is nice. Even up north the truck gets so warm inside I've popped it open already.
