Funny times to get attention

Not sure if everyone who actually got their Maverick gets the same attention I do, but I wanted to share a couple of "fun" times I got asked about my truck.

1 - Getting onto Ft. Bragg to visit my son, the guard at the gate wanted to chat about the truck for a while.

2 - The person behind me in the drive thru at BK, yelled to get my attention to ask all the usual questions (do I like it, what's my mileage).

FYI - the wife rolls her eyes every time someone stops me to ask the questions

1- at Buc-ee's while filling up on my first road trip a week after purchase

2- a guy on a scooter chatting me up at a red light on Western Ave in Chicago

All the time!! People wait until I come out of whatever store/etc. and want to talk about the truck. They get excited! Constantly rolling down the window at stoplights and talking.!

The 2 months I've had it, not one single question.......nothing at all.

I have had 2 neighbors ask about it and said they are going to order one.

I always catch other full size and mid size truck guys staring at it.

In 9 months I had 1 talk with 3 teenagers in a lifted dodge ram. That's it. I don't think it's a big deal here in NorCal.

I don't have mine yet, but I'm one who stopped a couple leaving Sam's Club. It was the 3rd one I had seen and the only one that had their owner inside to talk to.

It's funny it's like everyone does a double take as I pass them. I do the same when I see another Maverick. It doesn't look like a small truck as it's approaching. Looks like any other truck on the road! I don't realize that i just saw another Maverick until it's basically just passed me. Ford did a great job on the design. I'm glad they took the F-150 design and just made it smaller!

1. I was asked about the truck from a guy in his Lexus SUV. He said the dealer wants 10k over asking for the one on the lot. I suggested he place an order with the same dealer as I did as I paid MSRP< but had to wait 9 months s for its arrival.

2. A man and assumed was his wife asked me while I was about to leave the gym. Wife wants husband to get one to downsize from their gas guzzling Dodge full size. Say their current truck get 12 MPG!

3. Filling up at the gas station. Guy askes me about mileage in my hybrid. I said I average 44mpg. He could not believe it as he walked back to his full size with his jaw draped open as his truck drak an amazing amount of fuel in its giant tank.

4. My co-worker owns a 10 yr F-150. I gave him a ride in the Hybrid Maverick. He liked it so much that he placed an order for one.

5. Maybe Ford should offer points for those of us that generates sales?

Same here, in 5 1/2 months. The only stranger I've talked to about my Mav was another Mav owner I met in the parking lot.

Mostly dudes, but one of my wife's female coworkers apparently has one on order, and when we showed up at the company picnic she asked about mine, so I gave her the full tour.

Apparently she just got her email this week that it's in production.
