Yep first thing I added to my Maverick, been on since Dec 2021.
Never liked any small poles holding up a hood. So easy to install "a cave man could do it".
Hard to leave my 2011 Ranger and my clutch but I needed a 4 door with grandchildren growing and I wanted same size truck to easy fit in garage. Order it as soon as Ford order banks opened.
My 2022 XLT had tire sensor go out a month ago. Just so happened I was having oil change done (55,000 miles). My Ford service tech replaced sensor, said to be aware they have about a 5 year service life. Will have had it 5 years on Nov 11. Original tires, going to buy a new set of tires and...
Most of us will look and compare.
For me it will be about options available, especially exterior colors and extended mileage battery upgrade. Wish Ford would have a showroom at the Louisville plant where we could see the Fathom and order (if we choose).
Just had it happen 2 weeks ago. Took to dealer, had to replace one sensor. Mine in 2022 with 55,000 miles. I was told most sensors last 5 to 6 years and to not be surprised if another one goes out.
I wanted a small 4 door truck that grandchildren could fit easy in back seat (when needed) and was easy to fit in garage. Its a 2022 XLT, ordered it with the options I wanted and have added some aftermarket upgrades over the years. It's fun to drive, have had no issues (some recalls) but yes...
I did a transmission flush at 45,000 miles on my 2022 XLT. I did it after reading a lot about it on MTC. My Ford service rep said I did the right thing and right now at 55,000, will be 5 years old in Nov. Yes, it has had all the recalls but no major issues. Old school - change oil, rotate tires...
When I ordered my Maverick, I ordered Ford Maverick floor mats, window and hood deflectors and bed lights - they were all installed by dealer before I picked it up. Then I installed hood struts, that I had already ordered and received, once I got it home.
The Maverick will continue to hold its value as long as there is no compensation in the small truck market. Ford was very smart in knowing there would be a market, they didn't know it would be this strong. And now if what we hear is true, a Ford Ranchero, small truck, all electric for $30,000 -...
Welcome to the Maverick truck world!! And yes, I put the hood struts on first thing. Never liked those small poles to hold hood. Did the same upgrade on my Mustang years ago. Enjoy the ride!!
Wow, love the list. One of the things very cool about the Maverick - you can choose a lot of options/upgrades. Also one of the benefits to MTC, seeing what all people do to their Maverick.
