  1. Interior Mystery Clips

I removed my TuxMats for washing a couple of days ago and ended up with these two clips that I don't really know where they belong. As far as I can tell they are not TuxMat clips. Clips are about 1 3/8 x 5/8 x 1/2, with grippers on both inside surfaces. Anyone know where they belong?
  2. Rearview camera fix letter arrived today

    Nothing more to add.
  3. Hauling long load: tailgate position?

I have to truck some 10' long aluminum fascia pieces about 70 miles. I have a long enough support for underneath the pieces plus a hitch extender. Is it better to carry this load flat or should I move the tailgate to 45° ?

  5. Here's a 2024 Window Sticker for Canada

https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=3FTTW8R93RRA20025 I thought this might be of interest. It's destined for the ramp in Halifax and a dealer in Nova Scotia. Shipping by convoy! Sales tax in Nova Scotia is 15%.
  6. Mystery object found under steering column

Found this on the floor after a trip that included travel on some bumpy road. It's fairly dense foam, about 3” long, 9/16" wide, and 1/2" thick. The impression appears to be made from something approximately 1 1/8" diameter. Doesn't appear to have affected anything not being where it belongs...
  7. Auto Stop-Start and turning off ignition

Is there anything problematic in turning off the ignition when stopped while the truck is in Drive, instead of moving the dial to Park and then turning ff the ignition. This is when Auto Stop-Start is active: I pull into my driveway, apply the brake and the engine stops – if I move the shifter...
  8. Fuel Filler Door Repair (Pops Open)

The fuel filler door on my Maverick pops part-way open occasionally. Does anyone have any idea how long it would take the dealer to do the actual repair? I assume it's covered by warranty.
  9. Bed cubby compartments & bolts purchase info: Approximately 30000 FordPass points

Ordered on Tuesday from my Ford dealer, picked up on Thursday. FordPass points paid the bill for the parts AND taxes. Approximately 30000 points for the cubbies and bolts (excluding taxes) EDIT: Posted this as info for Canada. Admin moved post.
  10. Cheap bed mat for snow removal and hauling

I don't plan to get a cover for the bed, but I do want something to make snow removal easier and to protect the bedliner when I'm hauling. I ordered this mat from Home Depot and cut a rectangle to fit, not bothering with the wider bits back of the wheel wells. Tried it about an hour ago and it...
  11. CN Tracking Map

I've been using the CSX tracking link to see where my Maverick is at. Now that it's in the hands of CN heading to Halifax, I found that the information CSX provided was great for a railroader but perhaps not for the general public. Where for example is Garry, Ontario? (It's a switch location...
  12. Canada: Finally shipped!

Built December 6/22, shipped January 2/23. Heading for Eastern Canada (Halifax). They must have finally built another 9 trucks to make a load. Tomorrow I'll try and get the car number.
  13. Cupholder depth?

How deep are the cupholders in the centre? Wife smokes occasionally and I'm looking for an ashtray that's both unobtrusive and easy to clean.
  14. VINs for Canada, vehicle in production

Had an interesting talk with my dealer and Ford Chat this morning. They can both see that my order is in production – dealer said it was in 'bodyshop' – but neither dealer or Ford Chat could see a VIN. It was sort of my understanding that the VINs are issued before production starts, so I'm a...
  15. Block Heater: 120 or 240 volts?

From the manual, page 160: HOW DOES THE ENGINE BLOCK HEATER WORK The engine block heater warms the engine coolant. This allows the climate control system to quickly respond. The equipment includes a heater element installed in the engine block and a wire harness. You can connect the system to a...
  16. Just spoke to my dealer

I was expecting bad news, but it turns out I'll be the first one ordering a 2023 Maverick from them, so maybe I have a chance. Going in on Monday, after the hurricane, and we'll see what's happening.
  17. Playing random tracks from a USB drive

  19. Daytime Running Lights (DRL) in Canada

I just found out during the last hour that daytime running lights (front and back!) have been mandated on new vehicles sold in Canada starting in 2021. So when my Maverick arrives I can expect front and rear daytime running lights?
