  1. No Maverick Scheduling Next Week (11/22)

Blue Oval Forum (https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/forum/121-production-and-sales/), specifically the scheduling info & scheduling notes threads.
  2. Ford execs, why the continued Mav hybrid delay?

Another possible source for delay could be CARB rather than EPA. CARB is very particular about any faults that may affect emissions or economy, and how such faults are diagnosed/reported by an ECU. It's not unheard of that CARB drives late hardware or software changes to improve diagnosis of...
  3. Weight of Maverick Drop-in bedliner?

The weight difference between a drop-in and a spray-in liner is maybe 10-20 pounds (I'm guessing). That is not going to make a significant difference in fuel economy. In fact, plastic drop-in was lighter than spray-in, at least for the couple of liners I found in a 10-minute search.
  4. Forscan information gathering thread

Thanks for collecting this info for Maverick. One small change: cells B40:B65 should be Lariat not XLT.
  5. Trading-In/Selling Outright/Selling to Online Companies - Tell Your Story

I had a great experience with Carvana as well. We had an older Focus that wasn't being used. It sat a while, had a battery drain issue and a couple of slow leakers. Decided to get rid of it back in the spring. Carvana picked it up from my house (in the rain, no less) and I got paid quickly...
  6. Tonneau Cover - Hard Tri-fold or Hard Rollup?

  7. Understanding Chip Shortages

It's true that the auto industry would benefit from moving to more modern CPU architectures (ARM, e.g.). One obstacle is that modern architectures lack some important features found in legacy devices (PowerPC, Aurix, etc) such as memory management, communication & sensor interfaces (CAN/CAN-FD...

  9. interesting read about previous gen Ford hybrid

I share this concern about the electronics. The hardware has improved somewhat, software is increasingly more functional but also more complex/fragile, etc. Now there are modules that are either mated to a VIN or secured via public/private key so they can't be reused on another vehicle, at least...
  10. Build and price change

Yes, I tried to order this combo but dealer said it wasn't orderable. AFAIK the only way to order that wheel/tire combo is via the First Edition package.
  11. Did Ford "soften" the OEM Falken Wildpeak AT3W for the Maverick?

I've noticed that as well. I really wanted the Wildpeak tires with the FX4 black wheels, but it seems the only way to get this combo is with the First Ed package. Choosing the Wildpeak on a FX4 requires a wheel "upgrade" to the ones shown in the post above by @Nw_adventure
  12. * UPDATE*10/20* Dealer Hybrid hasn't been approved by government

Park pawl and neutral safety switch are two federal requirements that apply to transmissions/transaxles. I don't know if this constitues "government approval" or not, but it's a FMVSS violation to not meet and there are big fines from the feds.
  13. 2023 Maverick list - 3% under invoice with @dealersider

I recall reading somewhere that orders placed before July 15 would not be subject to a dealer's allocation. Anyone else remember this or am I imagining it?
  14. FX4 WHEELS: Something isn’t right…

This thread has the Maverick wheel specs
  15. A Poll For First Editions Only

    I ordered pretty early (6/9 2.0 A51), still waiting.
  16. Hybrid Maverick orders will not be scheduled until further notice - per dealer bulletin

That ratio was published in one of the recent articles on chip shortages. I agree that it sounds too high. In terms of new electronics modules, a hybrid has maybe a dozen incremental modules (e.g., battery controller/monitor, regen braking control, transaxle/inverter control, dc/dc, HV A/C, aux...
  17. FORScan for Maverick? Any users, thoughts? Tips/tricks?

Well, ThreeScan and FiveScan were taken, so ...
  18. Current 2022 Maverick Commodities / Constraints as of Aug 30

Isn't there a difference between "late availability" and "constrained"? I've thought the definitions were along these lines: Late Avail = this component/feature will not be available until later in the model year Constrained = this item was intended to be available at J1, but is not available...
