My hybrid mav is currently in the shop waiting for axles so they can replace both sides.
The d/s has no sign of grease leaking or issues with the boots but it has enough play you can feel it just by pulling on the axle itself. The P/S has a small amount of grease leaking from the inner boot on...
I took my 22 Hybrid in this morning at 33k and they are going to be replacing both axles. The p/s is leaking and has play, the d/s isn't leaking yet but has play in it.
I'm seriously considering trading it in after the repair, I can't be replacing axles every 30k. I really wish there were some...
Do you have anything leaking from further forward in the engine bay? That looks like it's a spray coming from the front, which would be why the front bolt has spray on the front where the second bolt is only on the bottom because it's blocked by the front one.
I had a leak in the same place...
If I buy an extended warranty with the first day rental coverage, does the rental coverage start immediately or only when I'm in the "extended" portion of my warranty?
Also, does a deductible apply to the rental coverage or is that only applicable to the warranty?
Mine is going in on 7/8. I thought maybe it was the tires but I just put on a new set and it didn't change anything.
22 Hybrid Lariat Lux with 33k miles.
This truck is "great" for the size and mileage, however the reliability is not good. I have a potential ticking time bomb of an engine...
I have two fiberglass driveway marker rods as corner markers for my utility trailer. I drilled holes into the top of some 5/8" bolts and epoxied the rods into the bolts. I drilled 5/8" holes in the rear corners of the trailer rails for the bolts and now I can add and remove them any time with a...
I replaced my battery with the AC Delco AGM just today to hopefully resolve the issue with my interior lights not working probably 50% of the time when the truck sits overnight. It's closer to 100% not working when it's cold.
I already had my truck in the dealership 3 times for this issue. The...
Don't use anti seize if you are actually trying to get your lug nuts properly torqued. Watch this video on YouTube so in the description you can skip to myth 9.
Long story short, if you put anti seize on your studs you might be putting double the torque you intended before your torque wrench...
This won't surprise anyone, but when I stopped by my service department this morning to add on the recall for my appointment next week I had to explain it to the service writer. They said I wasn't eligible because when they opened up the tab for it it said parts not available. I had to have them...
I got the same letter in the mail today. I happen to have an appointment early next week, so I'm going to see if I can have them add this on to the list of stuff to do as well.
I do find it odd that for the maverick it's just a software update but for the escape and Corsair they apparently need...
ORDER #14106
Thanks for bumping the thread. I thought about these when you first posted and then kind of forgot. I drive a lot for work so these should make all that road time a bit safer.
Hey everyone,
I'm looking to buy a Lariat wheel if anyone happens to have one for sale. My girlfriend curbed one on my truck today.
It's this specific style:
Let me know if anyone has one available. I'm trying to find one for a reasonable price, $600 on eBay is too much.
Thanks!!
There are two types of Wildpeak, the Trail and the AT3W. The Trail is specifically made for light duty crossovers, so I figured a FWD truck probably fits well in that category. OP was asking for an A/T tire with snow capabilities for their hybrid maverick. I think recommending an A/T tire that...
I'm happy with my Falken Wildpeak A/T Trails.
Admittedly, I only have a few miles on them in the snow, but I really liked them on my Crosstrek. My sister has them on her Subaru as well, and my dad runs wildpeaks on his Tacoma too. They both raved about them and live where they get a good bit...
My insurance rates went down from the 2022 hybrid Elantra Limited I traded in, but they are up from the 2021 Crosstrek Limited I traded for the Elantra.
My insurance agent told me that modern rates are heavily favored for vehicles with automatic safety features such as the ability to stop or...
I just bought the console tray as well. It will be replacing another brand that I already have, I think the compartment layout on the Muslogy model will be more useful than the one I am using now.
I was ready to roll my October order into a 2023 order but today I got the email saying I was scheduled for 8/29.
I have a hybrid lariat lux on order, so I thought there was 0% chance of being scheduled this late in the game.
I have seen this mentioned a few times here and I don't understand. How would anyone think telling the dealer to give you $2k so they can keep a truck that still belongs to them will result in anything other than them laughing their asses off as they watch you walk out the door.
Your only real...
