  1. Let's talk tint (%) for the front side windows

Just because its legal does not make it reasonable. What do you do in a turn, open your windows to see out properly?
  2. 800+ miles per tank club!!!

Your usual 3-clicks at the pump is damaging your truck. You should be stopping at the first click on any modern vehicle, including the Mav. Otherwise you're overfilling the tank into the filler neck, degrading the rubber filler neck-to-tank seal and leaving dried fuel deposits in the vent line...
  3. Mpg and full tank concern

The first 5 minutes or so the engine controls are in open-loop mode, and will use a huge amount of fuel to run rich and heat the coolant and oil and cat converter up to temperature. Its will take a bit longer with the 4k tow package, since it has more fluids to warm up. Then its gets a lot...
  4. Heat exchanger failure at 7k miles on 25 Hybrid

Unlike the 22-24s, at least they separated the heat exchanger from the rest of the $1200 exhaust pipe and muffler on the 25s. Its actually a weakpoint that had a recall in 22 to improve its resistance to overheat issues. The same problem part is also used on the hybrid F150s, and they fail the...
  5. Factory Tires Sizes & Wheels Specs For 2022 Maverick: Width, Offset, Bolt Pattern, Center Bore, Thread Size, Weight

Nope. All of the Bronco Sport wheel options will fit the Maverick using the Maverick lugnuts without any alterations or engagement issues. Try it.
  6. Spare key fob hiding place

The teenage thieves with their signal boost devices in their pocket can easily get into your truck if you leave the key unprotected in the house. With the Lariat the doorhandle sensor will just unlock the vehicle. Its an extra step on an XL or XLT without the intelligent access option, and...
  7. Let's talk tint (%) for the front side windows

It must be interesting to not be able to see properly at night...
  8. Dead

The 12V battery runs the electronics, and does not start the engine. Without the electronics operating correctly, the engine cannot be started buy the high-voltage battery. So, you need both batteries to be charged to start the engine.
  9. Battery voltage at rest

At 11.9V after the surface charge bleeds off, you have a seriously-sulfated battery. The battery is covered under the 3/36 bumper-to-bumper warranty, so drop in to the dealer for a new one for free. I'm on my 3rd one at this point in my 23. I'm still waiting for the fix for the BMS faulty...
  10. Dead

The BMS does not read the actual battery charge state, and instead only keeps track of how much energy goes in and out of the battery. If you bypass the BMS sensor attached to the -ve post of the battery, the computer loses the actual state of charge and will make wrong assumptions and not...
  11. Factory Tires Sizes & Wheels Specs For 2022 Maverick: Width, Offset, Bolt Pattern, Center Bore, Thread Size, Weight

The factory rims on the Maverick and the Bronco are the same size and are interchangeable. However the lugnut are not, since the Bronco uses the smaller M12 lugs in common with the Escape and the Maverick uses the M14 size in common with the F150. Both sizes of lugnuts use the same seat width...
  12. Dead

The part# on the top label for the Motorcraft AGM battery starts with "BAGM-" BTW, the CCA number is entirely useless on the Hybrid, and the reserve capacity in AH is the number that you need to see.
  13. 12V Battery #2 is down for the count

Yeah, you're lucky it still starts. Assuming that you've had all the recalls and the a/c SSM done, the normal standby current draw keeping the minimal sensors alive is about 50ma, so it would take several hundred hours of sitting time to discharge the 70AH battery down to the point of...
  14. Spare key fob hiding place

Having an active keyfob used to be decent security until the thieves got smarter. Just remember to put your keyfob in a Faraday Cage (Faraday pouch or tinfoil in your pocket, and a Faraday pouch or fully-closeable tin can at home. Most of the thieves today have a keyfob transponder amplifier...
  15. Fuel Consumption shocking

Its not even accurate. That 0F assumes pure water at the brine saturation point at sea level only. And the 100F is high by 1.5 to 3.5 degrees, depending upon the person.
  16. Fuel Consumption shocking

    C degrees = (F degrees-32) * 5 / 9 F degrees = (C degrees * 9 / 5) + 32 km = miles * 1.6 miles = km / 1.6 U.S. gallons = Litres / 3.79 Litres = U.S. Gallons * 3.79 U.S.mpg = 235 / L/100km L/100km = 235 / U.S.mpg
  17. Good less aggressive tire for Maverick?

We took off the brand new factory Firestone crap tires one week after purchase on our 76 Tbird. They hydroplaned in the first rainstorm. That's when we started using only Michelins, and still do to this day.
  18. 12V Battery #2 is down for the count

You need about 3hp to run the typical small car alternator, about 5hp to run an older model, and up to 50hp to run some of the F150 ones. Assuming that you use the smallest alternator, that's about a 5mpg hit while cruising, and obviously less when accelerating. Clearly you want to eliminate...
  19. 12V Battery #2 is down for the count

Since fixing the undercharging issue would be a pretty major cost reduction, the only other explanation that I can think of for not releasing the fix would be Ford waiting until everybody is out of warranty, making it somebody else's problem. Perhaps that's why they are putting AGM batteries in...
