I have a Fumoto on my FX-4 with factory skid plate and love it for oil changes. I've had a Fumoto on the last 4 vehicles I've owned and never a problem. I think any of the oil plug valve alternatives would be great.
But I'd love it even more if Ford could mount the oil filer on top like...
I'm at 22 average after 10k miles with my ecoboost fx4. But that's a lot of city driving in SF where it takes me 30 minutes to go 5 miles.... And I tow a 2000lb boat once a month for 50 miles or so.
I just installed dual camera dash cam and ran the back camera wires under the passenger side rocker panel. It was easy and done within 15 minutes. No big deal at all.
I used a set of softer floor tiles. Bought the pack for $20.

Just taped them on the bottom with duct tape and cut to fit. Took 15 minutes. I planned on this only being a temporary fit until I could get in for a...
I feel your pain and concern with a new truck and iffy boat ramps.
I was recovering my 17-foot Boston Whaler with a newly acquired lifted GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 with 250k miles (as a standing while waiting for the Maverick) on a steeper ramp in San Francisco Bay at low tide. So the rear wheels...
I like your thinking. However, given the likelihood of a tech screwing up my oil change and causing another $500 in repairs really bothers me. But for the next oil change I might just bring it to the dealer to see what they say about the weld breaking on the skid plate nut on the FX4 frame...
I have been using the BAK XS4 for about 6 months. I planned on getting aftermarket SIBL, so slapped it on with the elevate racks just to see how it looks. No seals, just bolted on. To date, 6 months later, I haven't pulled the trigger on the SIBL and have not removed the XS4. Very little water...
The interior nut is almost definitely a welded nut. I can reach one finger in the tube from the side and feel the hex nut that just spins now. I'll have to investigate the steel riv nut solution. The hole used may be too big. Just take a look at the washer on the stock bolt. Maybe a...
I just changed my oil for the first time with my fx4. I unbolted the front plate, but the bolt on the right side had so much loctite that loosening it broke the welded nut within the crossmember loose. Now the bilt and nut are loose and rattling around. What a joke!!! I hope the rest of the...
I just changed my oil for the first time with fx4. I unbolted the front plate, but the right side one just spun. Looks like the welded nut within the crossmember broke loose while loosening the bolt. I hope the rest of the welds on my truck are not the same poor quality.
Didn't get charged with it and no word from the dealer at all. Horrid communications. Not keeping my hopes up for adding co360, but doesn't the truck already have the cameras?
Funny. I just watched Chernobyl on HBO. The Russians said they were the originators of that phrase.... But yes, I don't have trust in Ford sales at all now. Don't trust and verify the hell out of it!
I checked the window sticker many times, but I thought the collision alert was the cp360. But dealer or Ford never let me know they were building without co360.
I think it's the same vehicle and either my dealer or Ford just deleted the option due to chip shortages without telling me.
