Sorry if this is long-winded...
I have a 2023 Maverick XLT Lux, and I have mounted a Garmin 67W Dashcam on the windshield.
Keep in mind, this is NOT the Maverick Lariat Lux that I ordered (I don't expect the one I ordered until fall at the earliest) so I got this one, well, because I wanted...
Mine seems to make a lot of, what sounds like, electrical relay clicking noises. When it's off.
For example, if I walk out to the garage where it is parked, as I approach it, I will hear, click, clickity-click, click. Multiple clicks.
No idea if this is normal or there's some sort of fault.
Not sure what happened, though I am reasonably certain I did something wrong.
Until a few days ago, when I would start the vehicle with the key (It's an XLT) and plug in my cell phone, immediately it would open the Waze app that I usually use for mapping, and the radio would be on to whatever...
Not very elegant, but like I said, I assembled it with scraps that I had laying around in the garage. The trash can comes with a clip. I suppose you could modify the clip to fit into the FITS slot. That might be easier than what I did.
Use an M8 thread chaser.
I didn't use a thread chaser. It was kind of a pain, but the bolts did eventually all thread in just fine, despite the SIBL being in there...
Got the trash can from Walmart. Got a FITS plug off Etsy. A little drilling and a few screws and nuts and pieces of hardware I had laying around, and voilà!
Almost looks like it was meant to be there.
Yeah, I know, it's not very big...
I ordered that rear view mirror from Kia. Supposed to arrive next week. 40 years ago I would have tried to install it myself, but now I leave that to people who know what they are doing. I'll probably also buy one of those Thinkware dash cameras too and take it to a car audio shop and have...
Yeah, that's kind of the idea. Software updates.
It's supposed to update automatically when Ford sends an update out. I've been able to get one update since I bought the vehicle (early February) but I had to sit there in the car in the garage, connect the Wi-Fi, select "connect to Wi-Fi" then...
Seems like every time I get into the Sync 3 system, that it is not connected to my home Wi-Fi.
Once you've connected to your home Wi-Fi, shouldn't the system reconnect automatically when the vehicle is, for example, sitting in the garage just a few feet away from the home Wi-Fi router?
Auto-close on the windows.
Pushbutton on my rear view mirror for the garage door opener (I know there's a Kia mirror that will work and I plan to do that.)
Pushbutton start.
Proximity system that unlocks the doors when I get within about 3 feet of the car (my cheap ass Peugeot 208 rental car in...
Interesting. I just picked up an XLT because I didn't want to wait until the end of the year (or at all this year) for the Lariat Hybrid that I ordered.
When it finally comes in, I will have to decide.
Stick with the Atlas Blue XLT I already have, or sell it and go with the new Cactus Gray...
I picked this up from Long McArthur in Salina KS a few weeks ago. XLT with Luxury Package and Co-Pilot 360. I had the dealership add mud flaps, a spray-in bed liner, and a hard tri-fold tonneau cover. I have added the DIY bed rails.
It was a case of impatience. I didn't want to keep waiting...
I've only had mine for a week or so. I was afraid that I would have this same problem, but so far, so good.
The only problem I am having is remembering to take the parking brake off when I put it into gear. But that only happens one out of about 5 times...;) I'm sure I'll get better.
Thanks. I have a hybrid too, and the only FITS accessories I am planning to use (as of right now) are the under-seat dividers and the trash can.
I am already getting the dividers from someone who got a kit and isn't using them.
Still looking for a trash can.
