When you install the latches you'll have to make holes for the screws so just inject a little silicone in the holes before putting the screws in. Or for a simple work around, bungee cord the lid nice and snug.
For pumps you will need a standalone generator, nothing major but since you're at it, get one that can also power a few appliances, like a fridge for instance.
The built in invertor on the Maverick is only good for very light loads, eg you're camping and need lighting (get LED lights)...
Brings back good memories, had a used ranger, think it was 1996, Mazda b2000 motor I think, but out grew it as a work vehicle. I really liked driving it, was minimalistic and I felt the driving experience more than modern pickups that have a better suspension, power etc, to me it felt like...
First time I crawled into the Maverick I said..... Is that all their is? But everything you need and more is there. Now I hug my Maverick and whisper sweet nothings to it, I'm quite happy with it.
You raise a good point. Many mechanics don't even know what ohms law is so they have issues troubleshooting electrical problems let alone understanding software diagnostics and working on cars so dependent on computer systems.
You can only re train them so much. Best of both worlds is...
This is my concern with the hybrid, I would definitely got the hybrid but I drive the car weekends only and if I do take it out in the week it's for a very short ride. These cars need to be driven. The EB I have will probably die of rust since it sits idle so much.
Hello fellow torontonian, I want to breathe the same air as you, but I'm not so optimistic.
Prior to the maverick I had a toyota corolla, and it served me very well, and if toyota had something more like a maverick, I probably would have got it. The Taco is a bit too much for personal...
This is why I like this club, people on here I can relate to without the BS found on so many forums.
I find it fun reading everyone's posts. Ever since I got the maverick and joined this club, I get a little boost when I see a maverick truck club email, and my wife makes fun of me...
Maybe adding a buffer under the jack would have been a quick work around, two pieces of 3/4" plywood would have given you 1.5" head start.
Jacking it up was one of the first things I did after receiving the Mav, plus removing the spare to see what was involved, and although the jack did...
I thought it was annoying too, I'll try your tip, thanks, but I got used to it not locking , I didn't have to fumble looking for the strap, Do you see any harm in the seat not locking? Maybe in a serious accident the seat flops open and stuff in the cubby goes flying out, I think I...
The ministry said I need black plates, it's considered a truck / commercial vehicle, doesn't make sense to me, it's my personal vehicle, I already have a real truck for work. And yes we have front and back plates in Canada.
