I have the 2017 version of this:
https://www.roulottesprolite.com/produit/ESCAPADE/
I've had it tip the scales at 2400lbs with my gear on board, Mav should make light work of it!
Change the location to BC Canada and the "getting rid of" vehicle to a Golf Alltrack and this is the exact position I'm in. Give me the Mav in a Hybrid that can tow 4k lbs with AWD and I'll sign up right now.
My Buddy (who has a Ranger) : Dude, you should have got a ranger.
Me: I don't want a Ranger
Buddy: Yeah but you can tow more
Me: I don't need to tow more
Buddy: Yeah but it's nice to be able to.
Me: So why didn't you buy an F150 then?
Buddy: I don't really need a truck that big and they are bad...
A quick example using my 16ft travel trailer and the figures above:
Trailer Dry weight: 2000lbs (TTW 220lbs)
Mav 2.0EB w/4k: 3731lbs (probably a little more in reality)
GCWR: 5731lbs
That gives me 2414lbs wiggle room to get to the quoted 8145lbs GCWR maximum...
The Mav is the truck I've been looking for for years. Never wanted or needed a big truck so I bought a 2005 Ranger a few years back, sold it after about 6 months, horrible to drive and still very thirsty for a small thing. I went to an Audi A4 wagon and bought a utility trailer then later to a...
I saw one video where the 4x2 and 6x4 drop in had receivers so they could be anchored to the bed without drilling, I'm hoping this could make a solid base for an elevated Thule style Kayak rack. I have 2 small 10' 6" kayaks that I would normally drop on rooftop "J" racks, it would be nice to...
Window tint the day after i pick it up for sure, just the rear 3, I'm not a drug dealer . After that I'll probably play around with building wood racks for skis, Kayaks and bikes.
Did a build online on the 27 August which I submitted at 0930, dealer called me at 0940 to arrange meeting to discuss, went down to dealer on 30 August at 1000 and placed the order.
It's unlikely that small diesels will ever find their way this side of the Atlantic again, VW's misdemeanors put pay to that. A great shame as I love me a little diesel engine!
My wife has a Golf Alltrack which has Normal, Sport, Offroad and Custom modes. Normal is, well, normal. Sport sharpens up throttle response, holds gears longer and sharpens up the steering feel. Offroad brings in Hill descent control which slackens off the ABS as well as holding the car on the...
I have a 2020 Subaru WRX @ 3340lbs, 0-60 around 5.5 seconds, 268hp/ 258 tq. the Mav EB tips the scales @3731lbs, 250hp/ 277tq. so like having a couple of "robust" passengers in my Subie. I think it will be pretty nippy, maybe high 6- low 7 sec 0-60. and lets not forget, the EB motor is very...
