Nothing plugs into the trailer 4-pin. The Curt T-Harness connects in line with the tail light harness behind the tail light itself so it stays completely independent of the tow system.
I'm happy to admit that I probably should have thought about this a bit more deeply before posting but it's a battle I've been recently fighting across departments in town where we see all kinds of wish list stuff at a time when huge projects are being approved and taxes are jumping. Then...
I didn't know that those wheels could be had on anything other than a Lariat. Good to know. Mine was purchased off the dealers lot as a refused order (no ADM) so I never went through the ordering process.
I don't give anyone a blank check because of the job they do, but I will give them what they need to do the job. Sure, they could have spent a bunch more but I want the taxpayers to know I will pinch every penny our small (population 13K) town takes from them.
Right now, our fire department...
If you look at the picture, the truck has Lariat wheels. That suggests to me that someone visited the options list for non-essential items. If they needed FX4, then the XLT is justified, but it makes me wonder when I see stuff I know isn't a need item.
With respect to your suggested approach...
Curious how you got that from the fact I want them to spend no more than is absolutely needed. I had this conversation this budget cycle with the police department when they wanted to buy a new car for the detective. I asked them why they couldn't give her one of the retired cruisers. I just...
Yeah, I saw the XLT badge when I watched the video. But, as a FinCom member I would have wanted to know why the chief needed the XLT trim level for a vehicle that isn't intended for personal use.
Edit - should have watched the video first. I thought those were Lariat wheels. But that really should have been an XL instead of hitting taxpayers with the bill for a higher trim level.
All businesses, whether large or small, will not price themselves out of their market. They'll pass some cost increases along if supply and demand is in their favor or if they can show some added value for the increase but will otherwise find offsets internally. I did that in my small business...
This is what doesn't track for me. What is the document trail for this VIN? I think you need to know that to understand why it was sold as used versus new. I don't really get how anyone would pay MSRP + $10K for a used vehicle, but I would really want to know how a 55-mile vehicle becomes used...
Sometimes I'm amazed at how lucky I was at 17 when I was hit head-on by a wrong-way drunk driver on I-84 in CT. I walked away under my own power, needing only stitches in my head after it put the mirror through the windshield. My knees were never quite the same, so it also ended my high school...
I started in IT in a 400-person tech company that only ran dumb terminals and minicomputers (a VAX), but people were starting to bring in their own PC's. I was hired to wrangle all those rogue PC's. That grew into networking as well and took off from there. I stayed in IT for 17 years, rising to...
I installed LasFit all around on my XLT in May. One of the cargo lights failed soon thereafter but LasFit sent me a new pair, so now I have an extra. If I have any other failures, I'll probably switch brands but so far that's been the only issue.
I think the box might be a light but, again, I'm a bit out of date on current versions. Leakage with the Extang solid fold was a big problem and the reason we stopped selling them.
When I was selling them, we had good luck with Undercover Ultra Flex and Armor Flex. The base Undercover Flex was problem-prone. Retrax also performed well (all models), Our luck wasn't as good with some of the Extang hard tri-folds then but I know they've all been updated since. We had a few...
70 here. I bought my 22 XLT EB Lux AWD the same day I started looking for one (10/21/21). It was on the dealer lot, having just been refused because the wife of the guy who ordered it decided she didn't like Velocity Blue. Paid MSRP with no gimmicks or add-ons while other folks were calling the...
