There's a step-by on removing the headliner in the Service Manual, you can find a link to that on cardiagn.com. Seconding All3spl in that dyeing it would probably be annoying, I'd get a piece of cloth with the coloring I want cut to size from a upholstery or fabric store and then fabric glue and...
Thanks for sharing, it's coming along nicely! Inb4 you show us a photo of the fender flares still working as intended.
In the photo with the hole cut out, the fender looks hollow - did you form additional plastic to fill the cavity and make the curved face?
Hey I'll be the first to say thanks for sharing and the photos look shiny - seconding a request for sunshine photos on that Velocity Blue. Sorry you've got so many armchair coating installers hounding you for sharing man
Yup yup, installed before sundown and left up overnight, next morning had to press the window trigger multiple times, seems it has a torque threshold where the motor tries not to kill itself. Pull visor out from the body and crank that trigger until the window releases.
It's a few bolts and...
Not ignorant, you'll laugh at the answer tho! I took the center bar off, that's all. You can see the clips in the headlights and the alignment posts on the "black bar thingy". The center bar and logo are currently in my workshop waiting for a couple coats of Alto Blue. Probably won't ever get to...
I didn't think it would be so bad, kinda like when you first get in the Mav and go "holy shit can't see shit" but I find myself ducking my head under it to talk to tall drive-throughs or around it to see the corner of the pedestrian walk. It basically doubles your A-Pillar's width, takes some...
That's the biggest boon honestly, the visors stick out so much they really do their job at pushing the wind away from the window, reminds me of my hood scoop, which does its job so well I can drive around with pools of water on my hood.
Also, I have minor complaints about the fitment - obviously they need to be tight but it actually binds up my window motors when I fully close the window, too tight!! It's gotten better over the days since I put them on but still leaves streaks/squeals itself free. Overall I like em, probably...
Have the matte ones, feel like they block too much of my A Pillar view. Those glossy ones are perfectly seethrough damn I wish I had gone with those! The matte does match the black trim of the Mavericks really well but my hood scoop is more glossy than the matte on the EGR
That's great! I also ordered EGR visors from Real truck, realized after that the forum discount might apply. I was told via email that only "certain categories" applied to the forum discount so they instead took only $5 off...would have been nice to get the "great deal" LOL
Mine came in...
do you happen to have any photos of the grill before putting the lettering on? Trying to figure out if it has posts for the lettering or is just a flat grill straight across. product photos don't seem to show any but for a injection-molding inject port, just to the right of center?
No worries I can reverse engineer it fine, already sketched out different variations and made some test fits. You've done a great job, thanks for the tips and don't forget to show us your next mods!
