After reading a whole bunch of posts that mostly detoured into available inventory, I did skip ahead so my comments may repeat comments already posted or possibly even contradict some.
If you choose to go with a Maverick, I think you'll be best served with an AWD Ecoboost. The dirt roads and...
Did not order; purchased a refused order the day after it arrived at the dealership.
Aftermarket upgrades include Truxedo Sentry hard rolling tonneau cover, door sill chrome trim, tailgate chrome letters, hood struts, BedRug bed mat, and tissue box holder for dash cubby. Also Ziebart...
Like many others, I just keep ratchet straps in there, but I managed to lose my cubby door somehow. I just learned that you can't replace just the door; you have to buy the whole cubby assembly. The dealer wants $60.72 for the cubby, but ford.oempartsonline.com is selling it for $35.36.
I'm...
After 6K+ miles, my average MPG to date on an EB2.0 is 27.4.
Low on a single trip (all local roads with stop lights) was about 21
High was 39.3. (2-lane state road with no stop signs and 50 MPH speed for about 15 miles).
For the past week, we've been doing a lot of driving on rural Maine roads and the Maverick 2.0 EB is averaging 34 MPG. My wife says it's doing better than her 2018 Fusion, which gets only around 31 on the same roads. Maybe I can sue Ford for making a truck that gets better mileage than a sedan...
I've had mine for 10 months. There is a reason people say not to buy the first model year of any vehicle - there will be teething problems. I've had to deal with the fuel tank issue and will probably have to deal with the air bag issue, but that's OK.
I just loaned my Maverick to my son while...
I've seen 3 in the last week. Two were in my local area and one was headed south while I was headed north in Maine. I rarely see even one in the space of a week.
My daily driver was a 2014 Wrangler Rubicon 2-door, but we also had a 1999 Cherokee that we kept around as a spare vehicle. The Cherokee was costing too much money so we sold it and then decided the Maverick might be an inexpensive way to get a reliable spare to replace the Cherokee. We ended up...
Take New York City and environs out of the equation and New York is probably as much a personal vehicle and truck state as anywhere. In fact, I'd bet the per capita vehicle numbers would jump high on the list in that case.
West of I-87 and everything north of I-84, NY state is pretty rural.
I have some questions that I don't see referenced above:
1. Did you sign a purchase contract laying out all of the fees and pricing? If not, and if Ford increased the price to cover higher costs, you're probably out of luck. If the extra $1K came from Ford, that is likely now the new MSRP. Do...
I originally planned to get a base AWD XL but ended up with a refused XLT/Lux from the dealer lot. I agree with a previous poster that the value proposition resides in price comparisons between comparably equipped competing brands rather than lower Maverick trim levels. For the extra $8K from...
Like others here, I've bought many vehicles via the traditional dealer sales model. Depending on the dealer, it can really suck. Or it can be painless and maybe even pleasant. It usually is the salesman and the finance office that determine which experience a customer will have.
Large...
I'm down near Worcester so that was another VB truck she followed. I still have only seen one other Maverick on the road after 10 months of ownership. I really like the Maverick; it's replaced my 2014 Wrangler Rubicon as my daily driver, but the Wrangler is also my winter driveway plow vehicle...
Overall, I thought the video was interesting but, as near as I can tell, Jim Farley did a very subtle bit of sleight of hand. When the topic of inventory came up, Farley shifted the conversation to days on the dealer lot and made no mention of trucks sitting in Ford's storage lots.
Last I...
I've always been one who will not pay ADM but, when I read threads like this, I can understand why some people might.
I got extremely lucky and scooped a refused EB XLT with Lux and CoPilot360 back in October 2021, so I never had to deal with the order process. (I wonder if that customer is...
Long term, my best mods are the full Ziebart treatment and the ceramic coating.
Short term, it's the Truxedo Sentry hard rolling tonneau cover and the BedRug bed mat because they immediately improve the look and useability of the bed.
This is actually my first (and only) Maverick, but it joins a 2018 Fusion Titanium, a 1992 F-150 XLT/Lariat, and a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 GT. (And a 2014 Wrangler Rubicon, but you probably don't care about that one! :))
It replaced a 2012 F-350 XLT that was way more truck than I needed once I...
Mine was also October 2021 and the tank was punctured. I just wasn't smelling any fumes because the screw that punctured the tank was also sealing it up.
