  1. Latest 2024 Maverick Order Guide Released [Updated Monthly]

The "1" shows up at the bottom of the section (not all the way at the bottom) and it's for Extra Charge Paint.
  2. July 17...Order bank opening...was 47 days ago.

My 45 day email did eventually come in, but it was a couple days late. A sign of things to come...?
  3. Front Brembo Brakes Kit coming soon

Interesting. Would these work with factory 18" wheels?
  4. Latest 2024 Maverick Order Guide Released [Updated Monthly]

Don't know what MIC is but pretty sure DIO is Dealer Installed Option. It's been reported that the factory installed keypad is gone but the one available through Ford Accessories is available to order.
  5. July 17...Order bank opening...was 47 days ago.

Still no 45-day email or text for me, but I chatted and the Rep said my order was in and waiting to be scheduled. Said they couldn't check my email or phone number that I had to contact the dealer for that. So, I dunno...
  6. July 17...Order bank opening...was 47 days ago.

No email or text this morning. Did changing the vehicle color reset my clock?
  7. Fog light options

I think the Maverick needs fog lights similar to a Mk6 GTI. I think that curved style could fit on the outside of the area and work on non-FX4 or FX4 setups, leaving the inner rectangular part for a tow hook or just blocked, and look good either way.
  8. July 17...Order bank opening...was 47 days ago.

I ordered and received email on July 17, but I am NOT scheduled. I also have not received a 45-day email update.
  9. Was my Maverick sold out from under me despite my order?

We don't know this, it's not clear. He stated in his resolution that he got closer to his original price, and when I tried to clarify he got it for $2k under MSRP, he stated again that he got it for "his price." I'm thinking he still paid a markup. Probably was $5k over and then the dealer did...
  10. Joining the "Did my first oil change, the shroud sucks to remove" train. With a couple twists!

Good info in here and nice pictures. I also like to use larger filters where they fit, especially as for some reason they often seem to be cheaper! For years now I have always replaced factory plugs with GoldPlug magentic drain plugs, and I like to use Filtermags on the vehicles that have...
  11. TRUCK IS GREAT - BEWARE OF PLANET FORD FINANCE PREDATORY PRACTICES

Agree 100%. The worst places (and people) spend a lot of time and energy figuring out ways to get away with stuff rather than how to do better to be more successful.
  12. TRUCK IS GREAT - BEWARE OF PLANET FORD FINANCE PREDATORY PRACTICES

It's not that she didn't know what she was doing -- she knew exactly what she was doing. Dealerships "sell" financing just like they sell cars. And just like selling cars, they profit off of it. Businesses don't often have relationships because they care, they do it to make money. In your case...
  13. TRUCK IS GREAT - BEWARE OF PLANET FORD FINANCE PREDATORY PRACTICES

It's really not similar at all. In this case in NH, the dealership was purposely getting people into loans they could not afford by lying to them about a credit program that would eventually lower their payments. Except it didn't exist. In this case, the dealer does not want to take outside...
  14. TRUCK IS GREAT - BEWARE OF PLANET FORD FINANCE PREDATORY PRACTICES

This depends on where you finance. The credit union I use considers anything less than 3 years old to be new, for example.
  15. TRUCK IS GREAT - BEWARE OF PLANET FORD FINANCE PREDATORY PRACTICES

No doubt the dealer was trying to represent themselves as this is what FORD dictated. Glad you were able to work it out.
  16. How to install bed extender?

Did you buy this new? Is it the Ford branded one? I believe they come with a backing plate that goes behind the taillights, but I don't see why you couldn't use a nut with a washer.
  17. Was my Maverick sold out from under me despite my order?

So are you getting the truck for $2k under MSRP? I would absolutely say that's making an effort to make it right. But, if they charge a $10k markup but are only charging you $8k, then that's a different story...
  18. Was my Maverick sold out from under me despite my order?

Just want to understand here -- they are offering you another truck and not charging you for the $2k luxury package, and that only gets you closer to your original price? I'm not understanding something or something doesn't seem right...
  19. Swollen Nuts ( Lug Nuts that is )

In other words, the Maverick uses a 21mm or 13/16" socket for the lug nuts.
  20. Swollen Nuts ( Lug Nuts that is )

I do my own tire rotations every 5k miles, so probably more than a lot of people. I use a battery powered impact but with a socket designed to protect wheels and lug nuts. They have a plastic sleeve on the outside to protect the wheels and a plastic insert to protect the lug nuts. I remove the...
