One thing Iāve learned reading these forums is that my way of thinking about things is just one way of thinking about them. Iām curious, these vehicles seem very different to me. Truck/SUV, hybrid/gas, etc. What made you select them as possibilities?
When I ordered July 13th, my sales guy said best case scenario would be between thanksgiving and Christmas. But that the new year was more likely, with late winter or early spring being possible. Itās looking like at least the later for me. Which is fine until there is something comparable...
It might be lazy. But I really, really, really like never having to take my keys out of my pocket to get into and start my car. I donāt think Iāll ever buy a regular lock again. Pisses me off I have to use a key to unlock my house. So primitive.
Does ROI factor in how much pleasure I get from ACC, push button start, a slightly better stereo, wireless charging Because, I get utility (happiness) from those elements for the duration of the ownership of the truck. Plus the resale value.
The best ROI for any depreciating asset, which...
I didnāt think the difference between XLT and Lariat was enough. Most of what I wanted is in the Lux package. My wife convinced me to go for it get exactly what I wanted, not what I needed. So Lariat Lux for me.
You would think so, but it isnāt really. City of 800k people and there is one supercharger. Not even all that many ChargePoint stations, especially at shopping locations, except one Walmart. They are getting better though.
We got our 2014 leaf three years ago, for about half what they are...
Man, you must drive somewhere very different than me. I donāt think I have ever had a hard time merging in any car in any place Iāve lived. Not in my 15 year old 1977 Corolla in Seattle, my 12 year old Toyota Echo in New York, Indianapolis, Phoenix, or anywhere else. I can outpace people trying...
The hybrid gets 33 highway. The eco boost is rated 28 or 29. So even worst performing against best performing mpg the hybrid is 15% more efficient. All things being equal, you are right. Better to have it than not. But theyāre not equal. There is an upfront cost and an ongoing cost to eco boost...
We have a 2014 Leaf. It gets about 70-80 miles of range. It is our city car. We never really drain it below half way. Even just charging it off of 110 would only take about 3-4 hours a day. I installed a level 2 charger and it charges to full in 2.5 hours from empty. Charge has never been a...
I know it worked with me. 1 thing in the options was considered "necessary" for me (ACC). To get it I had to go Lariat Lux. Was it worth the 10k cost? Not on its own. But I really like my push button start in the current vehicle. And the heated seats are great for about 5 month out of the...
I hope to get my hybrid Lariat Lux by May. I ordered mid-July. But the truth is, Iāll stick with the Maverick until there is something equivalent in capability, mpg, and price on the market. I would love an a electric version of something like the Maverick, but would like 300 mile range at...
It would be a weird insurance stunt. What would be the point? They are going to have to pay a deductible so they wouldnāt be making a profit. I guess they could take the check for the cost of repairs and pocket it, if they own the vehicle outright, otherwise the lien holder might have...
