On our older models 22-24 that have buttons and knobs. I don't know if folks realize that the temperature selection button is actually the on and off button too.

I tend to agree with you it's tough to get humidity here.
Therefore to test the humidity Theory. I'm going to run a small humidifier in my truck to boost the humidity and see if it automatically activates the AC.
That's that's exactly how mine works.

My 2023 hybrid XLT does Not automatically turn on the AC when I start the truck, if I turned it Off using this button.
It's happened before same circumstance.
Here is a thread on the lines disappearance but not much of a a fix. The op stated that lines returned on their own.
