I never do anything - anything - special to get it into electric mode and I average the same MPG. I just drive the darn thing, I never even think of trying to improve mileage.
eh - if you don't like them and if some are easily removable then take those off , place them in a plastic bag, put them in some safe place and slap them back on when/if you sell the truck. You can always use some adhesive to stick them back on if you need.
my first car - '67 ford fairlane came had an AM radio - I upgraded with a FM converter mounted under it, a Realistic cassette player way over there in the glove compartment, a 'reverb' unit under the Fm converter, installed rear speakers and a fader along with a multi selector switch. I had the...
likewise. I was so sick of paying for fixes to my old beater and that's why I bought a new Maverick. When the factory warranty was near up I got the extended (should have gotten it right after I bought it instead of waiting - that cost me an additional $1200). I have no desire to go back to...
those were the days weren't they? My sales guy told be probably a year and he was right on target - the waiting though...and trying to get thru another year with an old 'needy' beater...that was a little troublesome.
Dealer would probably say well we can't really make you an offer since we can't do a full road test in that the darn thing shakes so much....or something like that. But, yeah, they can at least pose the question, if they give them a legit offer then the OP can go and buy.a Mav that is probably...
but...why? Doesn't make sense they'd let them have the loaner for another 6 weeks - that doesn't do the dealer any good when in the end their only profit is going to be from the warranty work when they finally come up with the axles. What do you think the game would be here?
I had the extended warranty - 3 mos after factory warranty the battery (1st time) died...though i was having 'no dome light' symptons for a while, anyways took it in, was just going to have them put in a new battery as it was winter (and 3 years+ on the battery)and didn't feel like messing with...
nothing formal on the Maverick front, but there's enough anecdotal reports where you take it in for a dead battery or 'failing' symptoms and Ford ponies up for a new AGM - certainly not all the time but enough dealers seem to be able to find some Ford initiative that let's them swap it out.
if you happen to have the extended warranty (I do..) when/if you get a 'no start' due to dead battery take it in to the dealer and see if they'll replace it for (except for the deductible) free. My 3 yr 2 month battery died (had the typical no dome light syndrome but no 'no start' before...)...
it isn't the pre collision that's doing it - when the pre-c is triggered you get a big old rectangular red box on your dash and a lot of beeping - you didn't mention that in your post so that's not it. I've had my pre-c fire up 4 or 5 times over a few years, it sort of over-reacts but it for...
yeah- I was between CG and Area 51, went with the CG which is fine but...now everytime I see an A51 I sort of wish I would have gone with that - the color is unique and jumps out as being 'attractive' whereas CG looks 'strong' but sort of plain.
