As I mentioned earlier... hard to know the logic... The factory is in Hermosillo (an industrial park within the city limits near the resevoir)... My Maverick was ordered in Nogales, Arizona, USA, so the very first Ford dealership any Maverick will pass, whether it arrives by Train or Truck, just...
Here it is... Spouse approved Key Pad Location. Air should flow over it and it lays very flat. In our places in Arizona and Sonora, as well as most other scenarios you are approaching the car from the rear, so this works...
Good to know. That's what I thought as well. My wife will probably drive the Maverick more than myself, so that would be something popping up on my Honey-Do-List repeatedly (Honey, the gas door on the truck won't close again, can you fix it?...)..
Considered that for a moment.. then I remembered.. DUH, I'm going to be ordering an ARE MX Cap soon (the tonneau cover was a $140 stopgap)... So no go... but if I weren't going to install a cap, that would be the absolutely perfect place!
I used to have it written down. I do know that it was within an inch (ever so slightly narrower) of the backseat (seat bench portion) of my wife's 09 CRV EX. The back portion of the seat was exactly the same. I might have recorded these values in a post somewhere...
Thanks Jimmy for correcting my wrong assumptions.
Regarding mounting the wirless keypad on the back of the fuel door.. It didn't intefere with anything and still closes tightly? Interesting, I felt like there wasn't enough clearance around the keypad... I'll give it another look as that is a...
When I picked up my Maverick last week in Nogales AZ USA the dealer had programmed the key pad, but did not stick it on the B-Pillar as I requested.... He commented the key pad is looking for a perfectly flat surface to adhere to and the B-Pillar has a slight arc to it... So they didn't want to...
you really don't. it's an order... your truck doesn't exist yet.. there is no information to pass on.
you could find out if your dealer has the appropriate allocations to satisfy the order.
I have no ratttles/creaks in the dashboard or windshield or door panels. I do have a bit of a creak in the headliner at highway speeds above 60mph. I have a sunroof, so it's something with that hardware perhaps?
because the last time I locked my keys in my truck (it was my 06 Nissan Frontier about 8 weeks ago in Sonora Mexico), I locked the cell phone inside too. yeah.... dumb... a keypad would have saved me breaking into the locking cap (no damage.. thank goodness), unloading all of the gear, breaking...
I found one from a seller here on MTC a few months ago. Installed it last Friday (picked up my truck last Wednesday). So they are out there.
If you get it used, make sure the seller gives you not only the stud and bolt, but also the hidden nubby that you screw in.... The engine has 2...
Mine was ordered from Horne Ford of Nogales Arizona, the very first Ford Dealership that any Maverick passes by in the USA, whether it enters by train or truck.
I thought for sure that my Maverick would come by truck as it's only a 3 1/2 hour drive from Hermosillo to Nogales. However, mine...

Just submitted the form for
Steve (esteban) Grambs of Horne Ford of Nogales (Nogales, Arizona, USA).
Communicated. Sold at MSRP. Farm Bureau Discount applied. No obscene markups on a few dealer options (window tinting) and extended warranty (6 yr / 100k mi) that I purchased. No pressure.
Yeah... and there were about another 5-6 semis before that were still on the move on the highway.... that's when we got the cell phone ready to capture the ones that were lined up waiting... So yeah, we saw probably 130-150, even if we only captured about 90....
Today as we drove 450 miles from...
I was glad that my wife was willing to take the video while I drove. She did a good job. The still photos.. I pulled over and got out of the CRV to take those.
