I asked the same question. The Event Data Recorder should have recorded braking and accelerator inputs before the crash. I don't understand why you would drive a vehicle after a complete brake system failure. I'm a fleet manager and we use vehicle EDR data in many of our accident claims.

Is there an EDR on Ford vehicles? That should record the brake, accelerator inputs for a few seconds before the crash.

Bolt size is correct. I got my bolts from an auto parts store. D rings are a Toyota part off of Amazon. I would not use a ratchet strap on the D rings. I am fairly certain the side wall would deform if you pulled a ratchet strap too tight.

No shake at highway speed. Covers leading edge of hood. Has enough rise to deflect bugs. I've had no rocks hit my windshield, but I don't do any freeway driving and I avoid following large trucks. Hardware and deflector appear to be well made. No issues after 5k miles. Never been through a car wash.
