Same with the maverick. That was the main reason I got it. Small loads it downshifts up small hills. With the tune nope. I had 418k tuned mine in my last 150 till it got hit and totaled. Now I rarely drive my new 150 but it’s tuned by them also
Mine does it a lot. I believe it’s adjusted to do it much sooner with the Livernois tune. I know my f-150 does it as soon as I load the tow tune.
But it only does it when I stop for gas never notice it when driving.
Get the Livernois tune and use the flex octane.
first I think they are the best in the game. Plus then you can flash one tune and doesn’t matter what octane you fill it will adjust.
I have ran that setup for the last 80k miles on mine and love it.
I can guarantee that I have torture tested...
So I made another trip to NC from Michigan and back. This one was extra spicy. Just below the max towing in my enclosed trailer. 3600lbs trailer and load in trailer 4 adults and some extra tools and gear In the bed. 45 lbs air in the air bags.
Now I’ve haul over double this weight through the...
Honestly that was the big let down on my maverick. Went ahead and added the airlift bags in the springs and never looked back.
just add the air you need and go
I found the same air bags in the coils handled the squat and every was fine after that.
Plus with as much as I tow and use this maverick for hauling if a failure happens I should be the first to find it
The e brake was no big deal. In fact I’m used to screw type so you need anything special. But for fun I used the brake service mode and the only difference is you don’t have to twist the rear piston while compressing.
To early to tell as I have just made one trip. I have run this brand a lot before and haven’t noticed any more or less dust. I don’t really notice that much anyway as all my rims are ceramic coated. Not sure if it’s my lack of caring if they have dust or if it doesn’t stick as bad.
I’ll know...
Took a 6 hour work trip today mainly highway. So far these brakes definitely smooth out and seem to have much better bite than factory. Now I haven’t gotten into them super hard but I drive pretty aggressively so I will. Hauled a smaller trailer a few miles and seem to like the feel. Can’t wait...
It’s just the angel and the amount of debris in that groove . One was inner one was outer both wore about the same. But wanted to show both inner and outer were bigger than factory
No both rear one I side one outside. The pads were very close in wear nothing that caught my eye out of the ordinary. My rear pads were more wore than the front but I believe that was because all the off-road stuff I do causes the abs in the rear to constantly be working and that causes wear...
The fact the say it can pull 4k means they have tested it for that .i know it nice to try and remember the good old days but dyno numbers don’t lie. The elevation won’t change the trucks that much as the ecoboost is boost and trq limited. So it will always target a set power output. Now that may...
I believe so. I don’t seem to care or notice but it did have some noise with factory but I decided it was always after I got a car wash and I assumed it was some kinda coati g spray
I have run those but moved to cobalt friction. They have insane bite but it’s not linear like I like. For street use you will really like yellows or blue. I run the blue on a lot on my Mazdas.
Ok so I’m labeling this an upgrade because I’m sure thinking it will be.
I swapped out my factory rotors and pads with EBC Yellowstuff. I’ve had very good luck with these pads in the past and they have the best feel of any pad I’ve had ever. Including my expensive race pads. They just wear out...
Get outta here with that. I travel the country regularly with trailers. A 6 percent grade is the same no matter where you go. Only thing that changes is how long the grade is and the elevation.
what you are saying is not a single f-150 NA from the 90’s could haul a trailer up those passes? Our...
You will be fine anywhere you tow with that. I haul my 16’ trailer with my car and all my gear all over the country even through the mountains. My car is about 3300lbs and all my fuel and gear go north of 5k.
I’ve also hauled my smaller enclosed with with over 8k from NYc back to Michigan...
