I picked up a Scanguage 3 from Advance auto parts for $220 with a discount code. Awesome for monitoring engine/trans vitals while driving, off roading and towing. I was using a phone app but it was a pain in the ass setting it up sometimes and getting it to communicate with a BT adapter.
Ford is overtaxed with warranty and recall work, if they offered loaner vehicles free of charge most of their dealer network would be bankrupt. It is what it is and part of the reason I got rid of my Maverick, quality and customer service has gone down the tubes compared to previous Fords owned...
Just FYI - it's not necessarily an easy install. It requires drilling out some pre-existing holes in the subframe so M8 rivet nuts can be installed. That being said, it would do a great job protecting the lower bumper. I wish they made something similar for my GX.
Think we're off track here, other person implied it was only port inject. Also, Direct injection STILL leaves the issue of fuel diluting the oil unfortunately.
All Ecoboost trims have the same exact AWD system obviously except for the Tremor. Same RDU, same ptu. You do get some different drive modes with fx4 but they can be added with Forscan. You can also look up my experience adding hill descent control to an XL AWD
Not sure why the tires look so small, are you sure they are the factory tires? I believe the factory size should have been 235/65R17. I ran these on my Mav for a while.
I have gone places in my GX I never could have in my Maverick while overlanding. Recently I got stuck in a mud pit, put my GX in 4 low and ticked on crawl control and I was out in a couple of minutes. Never could have done that in my Mav. While I think a lot of these trails are easily navigable...
What's really going to bug you is when you start to wonder what else is missing from your Maverick that you can't outright see. I owned two fords prior to my Mav. Ford really dropped the ball on production and quality with the Mav and lost me as a customer.
Doubt you have the wiring in the door, I'm sure Ford also streamlined their wiring harness too. Also, I'd look on your ECU by the passenger footwell, if there's no keypad code on it then you're shit out of luck. My dude, I have done more research on this topic than you and I can assure you that...
Ha, no you don't. I have personally seen the trim, it's nothing but a vinyl sticker. They made accessory moldings that went OVER the vinyl trim and had a cutout for the keypad but I would bet my retirement account that when you pull the vinyl off there is no hole. Have fun with your...
