  1. Price gouging dealership

I caved and upped my order from XL to XLT. Left everything else the same. I decided that I want cruise and don't want to roll the dice on Forscan and sourcing the steering wheel controls.
  2. Ball Park Delivery Estimate Please

That's sad, more outsourcing of American jobs. There is a big field in St Louis that used to be a Chrysler plant. Driving by, you would never suspect that an auto factory was once there that employed thousands of people.
  3. Price gouging dealership

I signed a buyers order, so I am on the hook. It also protects me from a price change. I have a $500 military incentive that will drop the price on the sales contract. It sounds like there are some shady dealers out here that stay in business because people will not walk away.
  4. Ball Park Delivery Estimate Please

My point is they were building way more than 5k a month. Where are Mavericks being built?
  5. Putting in order tomorrow (10/30) any suggestions/recommendations?

Nice, what region are you in and was there a loan service fee?
  6. Price gouging dealership

Everyone telling me they are paying zero or a $100-150 doc fee can post their buyers order or contract. According to the list posted, in 2011 only five states had doc fees under an average of $100.
  7. At what price is it still worth it?

This is why I like one dealership and one salesperson for the long haul. I have walked out of some horrible dealerships over the years and walked out of some dealerships that went from great to horrible over an owner or management change. I bought a 2010 Wrangler from a local dealership, paid...
  8. Ball Park Delivery Estimate Please

Let me back up, they were also producing Falcons and Fairlanes on the same line. So about 7,000 cars a day.
  9. Price gouging dealership

That's a 55% increase in 11 years. My $799 doc fee is a bit larger than I have paid in the past. I blame that on Covid. My dealer has one salesman working, one sales manager and one finance manager. That's it except for the service department. They have about 20 new vehicles on the lot.
  10. Dealer Markups

I have been wondering what dealers are going to do as more hybrids and electrics get on the road and Ford reduces dealer inventory and transitions to a build on demand system. The real money is in the service department and most dealerships have a huge overhead. My 2020 F150 had 10k oil...
  11. Putting in order tomorrow (10/30) any suggestions/recommendations?

Stay away from Ford financing, you can get a better rate. I'm paying cash, but my CU still has 1.89% for 60 months on new vehicles, Ford can't touch that.
  12. Just took delivery of my order!

    Congrats!
  13. Ball Park Delivery Estimate Please

In 65 the Dearborn plant was producing about 7,000 Mustangs a day.
  14. Price gouging dealership

That data is 11 years old. Wonder what it is today?
  15. Hybrid Maverick Modifications?

Read the fine print on 'lifetime warranty." The warranty requires documentation that all recommended maintenance be performed within the prescribed mileage and/or time according to the manufacturer using manufacturer or equivalent parts. Keep every dated receipt. If you are one mile or one...
  16. Price gouging dealership

I am saying that I have not seen a dealership that has not charged a doc fee in over 25 years.
  17. Price gouging dealership

Really? Post your contract when you buy. I have not seen a dealership that did not charge a doc fee in over 25 years. I have walked out of a dealership for refusing to pay a doc fee. One dealership wanted a $1200 doc fee, when I said no, they said see ya, so I walked.
  18. Poll: Lariat Loaded AWD or XLT Lux Front

I used to live in Colorado. An AWD would have been perfect back then. I live in Middle Georgia now, we have had one bad winter the past 11 years. AWD now would just be an added expense that gives me no benefit.
  19. Poll: Lariat Loaded AWD or XLT Lux Front

Ginger or MaryAnn? I tend to like lower optioned vehicles. I splurged on my XL and ordered a moonroof for the misses and I figure that will help an XL's resale value if the day comes. Met a guy a the dealership and he ordered a Lariat, he tells me that it is one of the lower optioned vehicles...
  20. Price gouging dealership

The past 11 years I have bought from Riverside Ford in Macon GA. Same salesperson, always felt like I was treated fairly. Always paid cash. we bought a used 08 GT500, 14 Mustang , 17 Mustang, 17 Fusion, 20 F150. My salesman passed away this year so we decided to try the dealership closer to...
