Just because you can get into something doesn't mean it's easy. I've seen the soft covers get Sliced through like wrapping paper. It's going to take a little longer to cut through plastic even with a power tool.
Od course you can always defeat the lock and open the cover normally if you want to...
The tracking website is known for being pretty terrible.
It seemed like 1/3 times I tried to use it the system wouldn't work for me and I'd just wait a few hours or until the next day and then it would work again.
my truck feels solid up through 85+, haven't gone past that, but I doubt it would have any shake to it until well past 100 based on how strong it feels going any speed so far.
Retrax RetraxONE XR Retractable Tonneau Cover - T-60337
I installed this cover a few weeks ago and started posting a bunch of stuff into another thread, thought id try to condense it into its own thread instead.
Here's a bunch of pictures that might help answer some questions for people...
In this photo you can see the drain hole that is being used by the other roller cover, I think this is a good illustration of how much larger the retrax box is.
as you can see there is roughly 10.5 inches of space under the retrax box, and the box takes up almost 14 inches from the front of the bed to the edge of the box, this is a significant amount of space, but depending on what you are storing some tool boxes/bags such as the makita bag in my...
I get around 22mpg.
Id say I do 80% city driving.
For comparison my 2017 subaru impreza avg was 28mpg. Check out fuelly.com I really like the site for researching more realistic expectations
Edit: I just noticed this was the hybrid section. I have the ecoboost motor
I have this cover.
Here are my thoughts so far.
1: pretty easy to install, totally possible to do alone but definitely easier with a friend. 1hr timeline is totally reasonable, but I believe the instructions said 2hrs so don't feel too bad if you end up fiddling with it a bit longer.
2: the...
Interesting, it looks like a much smaller package than the retrax that I installed on my maverick.
I wonder if the owner has any leak issues.
I have a tiny bit of leaking from the drain hoses in the box (probably just a little adjustment needed).
And I have found that the tailgate sides are...
You'll be a perfect test for me then, I get 22mpg avg right now. 900 miles.
I thought you got 3 tunes from 5-star as the basic plan. But I haven't actually bought one
Interested to hear how it goes for you. I might get a tune from them as well. Did you also get an 87 tune? Is it easy to switch between them?
Mpg change?
My EB makes clicking noises a few minutes after being shut off as well.
Doesn't sound like locks, more like relays in the engine compartment.
I tend to sit in my car finishing chapters of my audiobooks before going inside the house for the evening so I have heard it on several occasions in the...
The auto start/stop is a bit annoying sometimes. But I think anyone can get used to it if they just try to ignore it for a few weeks.
The engine starts very quickly and sitting at a red light hearing complete silence is a luxury in my opinion.
Also it saves fuel, and who doesn't want to save...
Down in Portland we got just enough ice for me to test my tires.
The maverick awd in slippery mode does very well.
I appreciate the change in throttle response it gives.
I'm hoping for the kind of snow I see you getting up in WA soon.
These are what I am looking at for sure.
Was thinking of getting a strap, and a couple of d-rings as a combo, but Amazon seems to sell them for cheaper separately?
Also I don't have a hitch yet, I saw people use just the strap into the Reciever and a pin to secure it. Any experience doing that...
I'll definitely be picking up some of those to tie down camping gear into my bed, not sure if I'd trust them for snow recovery though. Is that something you've done with yours?
