Yes there is a Service Bulletin from Ford addressing the radio freezing issue. Someone has posted the number of the Service Bulletin. I could be wrong but I believe it was SSM 50411, sorry if its not the right one. I have over 7K miles and mine has froze once. Good luck

Took an afternoon and cleaned, tapped and painted without removing them

I left them on or installed and spent alot of time taping off the area.
