Unfortunately There isn't much you can do about the color portion, other than trying to cover it with vinyl, while it is attached.
It is all part of the door panel itself.
I'm sure by now you found out that those screws are false.
Hopefully you didn't try and remove them...
And the very rare occasions I turn my radio on. I still use the knob about 50% of the time, to adjust the volume. For 50 years of driving and using my right hand to adjust the volume on the radio it's a hard habit to break.
Having to use my left for the the steering wheel controls is not...

I just checked it out on MY23.
In reverse seat belt ON. Opened the drivers door. Did Not engage park.
In reverse. Seat belt OFF. Park immediately engaged when I open the drivers door.
