I always thought that Kia would offer a stablemate to the SantaCruz, but really emphasize the budget part of it. Get the base price w/ delivery just below $25k with a set rims that don't belong in the poor house. Would slot under the space that Maverick has now vacated.
They have been.. Tuners are excited with the added fueling available on some threads.
Very clever way to display the car to the public... real low key...makes the truck approachable for the masses!!
I'm disappointed you can't get a stripped Maverick Hybrid or EB for $25k delivered. It's moved beyond the super affordable (it's $28k) entry level small truck for folks seeking their first pickup. Folks will need to stay with Kia Souls and Hyundai Venues when really on a budget at $20k and have...
Okay, I'm paired... I guess I need to start a Ford Pass account for my wife and pair her phone too with the truck under Sync 3 so that she can do the remote starts.. Then when we do Sync 4, both accounts should be good, no?
You are still using the default 8" screen with your Maverick, no. how does it look visually? is it more responsive?
I have a MY2024 Lariat EB AWD 4KTow (and of course Luxury.360Assist by default as they are required for MY2024).. So I already have Sync3 and HDRadio. I already have my FordPass...
I'd actually like that higher resolution 8.46" screen just to replace my exsiting 8" and then pair it with the Sync4 APIM. Again... I don't need the size... just the functionality that comes with Sync4. I have a Lariat, so I already have Sync3.. hmmmm...
One thing that is of interest... I have a whole cloth XLT Tremor interior packaged away if we find the BAP ActiveX intolerable in our Desert Climate..... Got it cheap from someone who immediately had a shop remove it and reapholstred everything in black leather.... It's going to be a bit of red...
I had poured over Order Guides, User Manuals for MY2022, MY2023, MY2024 and followed these forums for a long time before ordering my Maverick. I literally was surprised by nothing. Educated myself, so knew exactly what I was getting into, warts and all.
Wait there was one thing... The power...
It's an entirely new engine.... Appeared in the Escape last year. Less HP and Torque, but perhaps more useable hp and torque in a lower rpm range? Don't know yet, I guess we will learn. I know some are excited by the tuning opportunities of the new engine as it has better fueling capabilities..
I'd like Sync4 w/ the screen I already have... I'd like the software features (e.g. wireless Android Auto), but could care less about a larger screen. Wonder if that is possible..
Yeah, understood.... When you drive to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, you are definitely well over 8000' (I think there's one point where you are at 8800'). My own personal experience was that my 06 Nissan Frontier XE 4cyl would just struggled to pull my 1600lb Pop-Up camper and gear at...
Instead of relying only on specs.... it's helpful to consider some who have an EcoBoost and drive in a way to encourage decent fuel economy? We exist.
In late June / early July we got 26.5 on two gas tanks when the temps were 109-110 and we kept remote starting the Maverick and letting it cool...
