It's an entirely new engine.... Appeared in the Escape last year. Less HP and Torque, but perhaps more useable hp and torque in a lower rpm range? Don't know yet, I guess we will learn. I know some are excited by the tuning opportunities of the new engine as it has better fueling capabilities..

Why are you reducing it by 16% (8000lbs vs 6720lbs) when Ford says 2% per 1k of elevation (6k x 2% = 12%). Reduction from 8000lbs should be 7,040 lbs.

Instead of relying only on specs.... it's helpful to consider some who have an EcoBoost and drive in a way to encourage decent fuel economy? We exist. In late June / early July we got 26.5 on two gas tanks when the temps were 109-110 and we kept remote starting the Maverick and letting it cool...
