Great! Sounds like you are NOT one of the A.Holes who chew up the land 4 x4 ing, drive through creeks and rivers and destroy otherwise the natural habitat. I have seen a lot of damage here in Oregon. Enjoy your ride.
And then there are the idiots who do this...and not just in Ca.
And that is an old report.Effects of Off-Highway Vehicles on Archaeological Sites

Yeah...4 wheeling is great for the environment...
I can see driving on the beach when involved in some project or something related to boating or something practical. How about the people on the beaches who are there for the experience of being in the solitude of nature. That is why some people go there, and enjoy walking. Why take a 4000 lb...
The short answer, yes. But it gets a little more complicated from there. Driving is permitted on certain beaches during specific seasons/months/times of day, however, some beaches have limited driving access.Apr 24, 2019

There are...
Must not be Oregon.
Are cars allowed beaches in Oregon?
There are a handful of Oregon beaches vehicles are permitted on such as at: Cape Kiwanda, a little area around Tierra Del Mar, a tiny stretch in the middle of Lincoln City (requires a permit) near the Seagull Motel, and a couple spots...
I have the same miles on mine. It' only late at night when I start thinking the worst scenarios...breaking down in the desert, etc. I calm myself by reading a Tony Hillerman book. Che and the rest of the characters in the southwest fiction novels...19 of them.
Happened to me the other day..not the door ding, but two jacked up big pickups parked on either side of me in the HD parking lot. Backing out with a mountain on either side even with the back up camera is a minor panic..yeah, I am getting old.
I know...I have a neighbor who just lost his job and is realizing he won't be able to keep his Big truck. I did talk to him before he bought it and mentioned in passing about the general subject of saving and the like, but he wanted that truck. Deferred gratification learned the hard way now.
I had a 150 way back..I think it was about a 75. Pulled horse trailer, etc. Useful, yes. I was making a joke about the jacked up ones...and would say a large % have never seen load of gravel or lumber.
Pickup trucks are big, but not enough. That's why so many you see are jacked up with oversize tires and sometimes steps to assist in entry. They must match the ego of the driver.
