Yes I have the powertrain in addition to the 100k warranty. As for reading the fine print I am not a lawyer and don't speak that gobbligook. I did read the 20k service and it was an absolute joke which is why there was no way I was going to pay the dealer to do what they call the 20k service...
Thanks for all the replies I appreciate it.....except for one of them :) I am having Ford change my oil and rotate my tires every 5k miles. I will do my own cabin and air filters. But again my follow up question is the same......if I have no documentation from Ford that I have completed all...
As mentioned in the title. I have a 2023 Maverick XL hybrid and I purchased the 100k warranty from a large dealer for a great price. My question is......has anyone read the fine print? Do I have to do the 20k service.........30k service...50k service or whatever the manual suggests? I am...
So here is the 20k service
here's what happens at your 20,000 miles checkup
Replace cabin air filter, if equipped.
Inspect brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, brake linings, hoses and parking brake.
Inspect engine cooling system level, strength and hoses.
Inspect exhaust system and heat shields...
What did they do for the 20k service and do we have to have it performed to keep Ford Warranty folks happy? I will try to look up the 20k service myself in the meantime
Well I just went in and got her scheduled for a brain transfusion this coming Tuesday. She told me that they will focus on the safety type of recalls and not do the other two unless I am reporting issues with them. I was like.....uhhhhhhh its a recall...........but anyway I am fine with that...
Thanks for the additional replies. I feel there is a certain level of liability for me to get some of them done. I think one of them stated my brake lights might not function or something to that affect. So far not one reply in this small sample saying run for the hills so I think I will...
Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to hear from a good 20 or so owners so I could draw a firm conclusion or feel for the current state of the software updates. So far everyone seems to be giving me the all clear.
It is my understanding that I have waited several months beyond the actual recalls so I was hoping all bugs are out. I will read through a few more replies and get a feel. So far one all clear.
Hello all. I read a while back that the software that ford was installing to resolve some of these recalls was causing even more problems. I have held off having my recalls done in the hopes that they would work the bugs out. Today I have 20k miles on my 2023 hybrid xl and its time for an oil...
Mine was screwed in right before my eyes! Yep....the sales person eye balled the correct position then screwed 2 large stainless steel screws right through the plastic bumper........note....there were no factory holes for this on my truck....he just screwed right into the bumper. I wanted to...
2 in a row.....those were the type of answers I was expecting more of. I never asked about the auto high beam feature ......Anyway I am going to adjust mine down a turn or two and see if that helps
No sir.....but as I mentioned earlier.....if you get out of your truck and look at it at night with the lights on.....the Mav shows 2 lights in each lens making it look like I have my brights on. Plus I live in a very uptight area.
Well tonight I turned on my lights and got out of the truck to take a look. Now I know why I am getting flashed. I think someone earlier mentioned this but......In my XL it looks like 2 lights are on inside of each lens so people think one is your low and the other is your high beam. I guess...
