I agree with you, but there are people who would go thru all that hassle just to make a few dollars. About 40 years ago, my wife and I saw a TV real estate program where some guy had "bought and fixed up" about 50 homes in 10 years, just to make a few dollars on each house. My wife and I...
I'll give you a rattle! Today I drove to Quest, the first time I braked and turned left, I thought the rear end was falling off my Maverick. For 30 seconds, I thought I was gonna die. Then I realized what it was. Yesterday, while installing my storage compartment, I left the open plastic bag...
Heated wipers? Gimme a break! Heated wipers means ANOTHER SENSOR. If I learned anything with my 2004 Ford "Retrobird," with its 1,402 sensors, THE LESS SENSORS YOU HAVE, THE BETTER VEHICLE YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE. Ipso fatso (Archie Bunker).
I gotta admit, Bushpilot is right. Those steel wheels really look good on that black truck. They didn't look nearly as good on my silver truck. Jeez, I hope you have a garage to keep that black truck out of the sun. (I just spent 16 years in north Texas.) Beautiful truck.
Folks, I am confused. WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT TOYOTA TRUCKS ON THIS FORUM? I don't give a tinker's damn about Toyota trucks. Also, someone has SEVEN PROBLEMS with his Maverick?
On my 2022 XL, they bumped my dates a time or two, but nothing drastic. You've got to cut them some slack with what-all is going on in the world, particularly when parts come in by TRUCK. Good luck, hang in there.
One other thing that nobody has mentioned: CARVANA. They just gave me more for my year-old Hyundai Venue than I paid for it. With the used car market the way it is, I would suspect that Carvana would JUMP at the chance for a new Maverick. Just a thought.
Hey Phil, it's not to be. The soft foldable tonneau has no attachment points. Two days ago, I got BBS SX (the cheaper BBS) wheels installed. They are gorgeous. So, now I can worry about THEIR being stolen rather than the tonneau being broken into. My ulcer could not survive if I didn't have...
Blame my brother-in-law! I just got new BBS SX wheels 2 days ago, and was ready to give my steel wheels away, on this forum, but he told me to hang onto them for when my new BBS wheels are stolen. I'm in the Baltimore area.
You really did a good job. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am old, real old, and the gas cap looks like a replacement part that hasn't been painted yet. Beautiful truck.
I bought the cheapie letters from Etsy, and they have held up fine. Knock wood. They had colors to choose from, so I got black for my silver truck. Peeling off the back requires a sharp blade to start. One word of advice, start at a 90-degree corner. On my last letter, the K, I tried to...
My XL came with wheel locks installed, with the bag of 4 lug nuts/key/paperwork in the glove box. Be sure to tear off the tab and mail it in to "register" your key code.
I have to agree with Icegradner; I thought that Ford did an excellent job in listing exactly what my base model was going to include, the most obvious exclusion being Cruise Control. That said, I still made a big mistake. EVERY photo I saw of the Maverick included the black bed liner. NOT...
