I'm not sold on this constraint thing. I received my xl EB last April. That said, sales person contacted beforehand me wanting to remove 2 constraints, a bed mat and mud flaps as they could be easily added later. I agreed. So, when I got the truck, it came WITH mudflaps which I was charged...
FWIW - They do fit well. My Ford OEM mudflaps we're installed at the factory. After reading several post about paint damage I pulled my mine off. At under 1000 miles I could see where the flaps were starting to put a crease into the paint. There is a ridge that rides on the paint. Per others...
FWIW. Mine came with the truck. Last summer, I pulled the guards off to do the suggested modifications, I did see minor damage beginning to appear. I couldn't see any paint issues until then, after they were removed.
So, I had a similar experience with my Maverick order. Dealer proposed and I agreed to removing constraint items, bed mat and splash guards. Truck was built and shipped with splash guards! No bed mat though. Who do you believe on constrained items. I ordered non-carpeted floor mats a couple...
Yeah I know, made me hesitate to purchase it as well. Meant to cover that in the post, but alas age. I put the other in my wife's 2006 F-150, works on it too. Anyway I will post a video tomorrow when it gets light enough. I got your 6. 😉
My 2 cents worth. After reading several of these rear end posts I got one of these per some one else's posts. Will it help? Don't know. Is it legal, don't care. Mennonites have way more blinky things on their buggies around here
I can imagine. I did mention my concern for that happening in my first post in another thread when it first happened to me.
I too have the sunroof and have started putting the rain-x on it to help get the water off after I get rolling.
That is a really good question with a simple answer, I didn't notice it was high mileage till I got home. 😆 (64 years of age catching up with me). I live out in the country so I wasn't about to drive back to town.
Did a little checking and figured it wouldn't hurt nothing so I went ahead and...
I changed mine out at 800 miles after I got a little black soot on my finger from the exhaust. Castrol 5-30 synthetic high mileage frame filter. No issues. Got 3,100 miles on it now.
