Ford does not receive any deposit given to the dealer. That is kept by the dealer. A good dealer will not require a deposit and will still have good communication from Ford. My dealer ask for no deposit, ordered on x plan and email confirmation from Ford was received within an hour of leaving...

Who knows? Ordered an Ecoboost XLT lux AWD from a small WV dealer on Jan 20th. 2 weeks later on Feb 3, received a build date week of March 28. This blows my mind. I was prepared to wait till March just to get a build date. I think they just pull it out if a hat. Lol
