The XLT that I've been waiting for waaaaaaaay too long is in production. (12/04.)
Yes, allocations, blah, blah.
But (here comes the rant) an allocation for a 22 rollover into 23 and then into 24 should not have been subject to allocation availability. The "allocation" should have arrived at or...
An interesting option.
What was the inspiration to look for the " 2013-2019 Escape folding rear headrests"?
That source (or your knowledge) might be useful for other Mav improvements.
EV or EB is a choice.
The question is not whether or not the choice is a good choice. The question is actually a two-part question.
Answer each part and you get to a decision that's good for you. And maybe win a prize.
Question 1: Did you buy an EV for logical reasons or reasons not related to...
I'm not going to say what I think about the current state of our society, other than I don't get influenced by "influencers", if that is or should be an actual word.
When you buy an EV, you are not buying a car.
Or truck.
You are buying a battery with wheels.
The warranty on most EV and Hybrid...
The first reaction is that the warranty will take care of the repair.
But, what if the break of a weld (supposedly strong enough to last a lot longer than the warranty period) happens after warranty expires?
I'd not be happy with a manufacturer's product if a WELD breaks.
That's some pretty...
The Last Mate is short.
I'm going to wait until the "trucklet" (works for me) gets built starting 12/4.
And then see how much trouble she has in and out. Maybe I'll see about running boards after that.
Thanks for the info on the tonneau.
According to the numbers I just saw, almost exactly one third of the orders are from folks 60+.
That's telling me there was a market for an affordable small truck for the age group.
And the market jumped on the product.
What that also tell me is that the other auto makers missed the market that...
I've read all the comments. So here's mine.
If you run a company and sincerely think keeping your brand clean is important (not all corporations care) then in this situation you do this:
All rollovers are prioritized (unlike the 22-23 rollovers) and do not count against allocations for new...
My bare bones (not even floor mats, so there should have been no constraints) was a 22 rollover with a rollover order date of 9/16/23.
Just got a VIN late last week with manufacture date of 12/4.
Just viewed a post by a fellow who was possed at Ford Customer Service telling him not to believe...
This this (I know how to spell) is unbelievable.
Ordered (or pre-ordered, whatever the difference is) in March 22.
Moved into 23, on 9/16/22.
Priority code 02, according to the dealer.
When what to my wondering eyes did appear, a number of orders from not just 2023, but in just the past few...
I'm 74.
Ordered a 22 XLT, rolled into 23, rolled into 24.
Currently Priority 2.
Still don't have a VIN.
I'd like to think I have enough time left to enjoy the truck.
If I ever see it.
I'm not normally the kind of guy who loses it and starts saying words i'll regret later.
But I've got a real problem with Ford at this point, and there's not a %^*^%#$#*)(*&(* thing I can do about it.
Ordered in March 22, rolled into 23 and now 24 (9/16/22 rollover order).
Have been watching...
What I still don't get (besides my 22 XLT that rolled into 23 and then rolled into 24!) is Ford's smaller pickup strategy.
They created a product with more interior room than the Ranger for remarkably less cost.
Why?
I still don't get it.
The dealership got back to me.
My priority code is 2.
But.
They told me that there is about a two month wait from VIN email to delivery in Florida.
That's in an ideal world with no strikes and no other natural and unnatural disasters. And, according to Ford Customer Service, no constraints...
Well, I guess any movement, even sideways, is movement.
Ford Customer Service can't tell me (according to them) my priority code.
But she did say the code was not a 10.
I've got a call into the dealership.
We'll see.
I'm told by the dealership staff that the highest priority code is 10, which is the priority code of my order.
I just got off the phone with the sales fellow.
He said he's going to ask if there's better priority code.
