I'm pretty sure it only effects the CTR software so the 2025 shouldn't because they will use sync4.

This recall does not include the Lariat, since it uses sync3. Just the XL and XLT.

We get it, cameras are mandatory!! But there is millions of LEGAL cars on the road with NO back-up camera. I've never had one. But to throw brake lights in there like "oh god you don't believe in back-up cameras, oh so you also don't think brake light should be mandatory"

The current recall is for vehicles built thru Nov 2024. So it pretty much covers every maverick XL and XLT. ~260k mavericks. From what I read, Ford will be notifying owner the first week of Dec.

I think the Nov. 22nd date must have been the stop releasing date as what I'm seeing now.

The Dealers should have known this since at least Nov. 22nd, that's when I was supposed to pick up an XLT.

Was this a push button start? I would assume if it's the traditional key in the ignition, for the XL or XLT, it would not lock?

I’m in the exact same boat as you, have deposit down, Fri I was going in to pay and pick up. Salesman called said they can’t release because of recall. He would try to get info asap. But said the Explorer had a similar issue and was a 3 month wait. but this is a bad time as 25’s will be...

So the 2025's may be out before this get resolved? If so there will be a lot of 24's sitting in lots i would think. If it's not fixed by January I'll probably ask for my deposit back or maybe order a 2025 (don't really care for the headlights though).

What kind of discount or price does the X-plan have for the Maverick? I bought a 2000 Ford Taurus with the X-plan (the company I worked for had it) but can't remember what it was.

I was supposed to buy a 2024 XLT today, that I put a deposit on, but my salesman just called and said they cannot release any mavericks because of the rear camera issue. Sucks. He said unknown when it would be fixed.
