I chose not to have Ford put in the SIBL as it was constrained at the time of order, and I wanted my truck. I plan on having Line X spray one in eventually. They sand the entire bed and fix any rust anyway before application, so I'm not worried about scratches in the bed.
Also, Line X has a...
Thanks.
I used 1/2" PVC pipe with slip fit 90° and "Tee" fittings. Glued it all together once I got the proper fit.
No need to secure the bike rack to the bed. It's only there to hold the bikes upright. When I secured the bikes down with straps, the downward force on the bikes holds the rack...
I plan on getting LIneX installed eventually. When they install SIBL, they scuff up the paint in the bed anyway, so I'm not at all concerned about scratches in the bed.
It's possible and that's all I need to know. I don't want my paint scratched and anything that touches the paint, especially a large pad, has the potential to scratch it. Especially if dirt gets between the pad when driving down a long dirt road. You know, the kind where mountain bike trails are...
Nice, But I don't like the idea of having to remove the tires. I prefer to just slide them in a rack. To each is own though, not complaining about your technique, just not for me. Glad to see 5 will fit though.
I figured I would share this because I couldn't find anywhere else that this has been done.
So.. when I ordered my Mav a year ago, I was curious if I could fit Four 26" Mountain bikes in the bed, without taking the tires off OR Hanging them over the tail gate. I searched through these forums...
Hope nobody's Maverick was on this train.
Looks like an F-150 was lost though.

I'm 6' 3", put the mirror all the way up and have the seat at about half way up. I think the mirror is perfect with these settings, and have no issues at all. So I guess it's personal preference.
An honest engineer, I like that, lol.
I'm an aircraft inspector, and I hate engineers. What works great for them in a temperature controlled room on their computer screen, doesn't work well at all in either 100 degree or -10 degree flight line. In their minds when they "engineered" it, only...
I recently bought a Kia Sportage for the wife and have been driving it for a few months waiting on the Maverick to arrive. Got the Maverick last week. Both the Sportage and Maverick have the gear knob. When I started drive the Sportage, it only took me a day to get used to the knob, so when I...
Got my Maverick yesterday! Not trying to make anyone feel bad, I know there are some that have ordered in 2021 that have yet to get theirs. I hope you get yours soon. I'm just lucky.
I ordered on 16Sep2022, the day the order banks opened. Hybrid - Lariat without the Lux package, trailer hitch...
It means your vehicle is schedule to be built during the week of 5/1.
When I got my email, it said said scheduled 3/10, then I got another email a week later that said they moved it up to 2/28, but it actually got built the week of 3/6. So expect that your date may change by a week, one way or...
I love the idea and think you're on to something. But two things:
1. Just like people have already said. Get rid of the textured shelf behind the cup holder. Make it a hole so you can just put trash in without lifting the cup holder out of the way. If I'm driving by myself, I would want to be...
This thread should pretty much answer all your questions.
