  1. See ya Marty!

The OP did well. Even with the problems he had with his Maverick he ended up $9,475 right side up on it. So in the end he ended up with the truck he really wanted with less out of pocket.
  2. See ya Marty!

Same here. I was expecting a horror story of multiple break downs, long wait times on back ordered parts, and poorly done warranty repairs.
  3. New stereo firmware update available!

I tried several times and was able to download but not install. When I went to the dealer for an oil change on Monday they installed the update for me.
  4. See ya Marty!

Interesting that the OP experienced bad enough issues that he got rid of his Maverick and bought a Tacoma but never posted about these issues.
  5. See ya Marty!

I'm also curious. Quality issues with the Maverick itself or with service at the dealership.
  6. New stereo firmware update available!

I brought my Maverick into the dealer today for my free first oil change. They were able to download and install the new update using FDRS so I'm good to go. Not sure why I couldn't get it to install last week.
  7. 2023 Ford Maverick Lariat AWD road trip w/ issues

Good post. That's why I'm curious about how much weight the OP was hauling. He was aware that he was on the high side because he left his fresh water tank empty while towing. That's not an option for me because I plan on doing some boondocking on my trips. I'm wondering if they left the...
  8. 2023 Ford Maverick Lariat AWD road trip w/ issues

How much under 4K do you think you were on this trip?
  9. Another reason to not do recalls?

Interesting post. I didn't know that Ford sent letters to owners telling them their vehicle is not part of a recall.
  10. 2023 Ford Maverick Lariat AWD road trip w/ issues

I've been looking at the Wolf Pup. You add 216 lbs for 26 gallons of water and you're at 3810 lbs before you put anything in the trailer. Not sure if I want to be at or above max towing for any long distance towing. Especially during triple digit temps in the Southwest.
  11. Lower Octane Fuel

Not available here in California either. Unless you go to a drag strip and buy racing fuel. I'm using 87 octane top tier Costco gas. My Maverick seems to like it just fine. The only problem right now is it's over $5.00 a gallon and rising.
  12. Ford Faces Class Action Lawsuit - Hybrid Engine Fires

Sorry but I'm confused with your reply to my post. Time for me to move along.
  13. Lower Octane Fuel

Does the Maverick owners manual recommend that owners not use 87 octane for normal driving?
  14. Ford Faces Class Action Lawsuit - Hybrid Engine Fires

Why can't home builders install smokes detectors so they "come" with the new house?
  15. 2024 Maverick Clean Up Scheduling This Week (9/28/23) for Production Weeks 11/6 - 11/27

So you want a first in first out system and Ford refuses to do that. I hope you get scheduled soon.
  16. 2nd oil change at 9782 miles, and some thoughts

I'm going in to the dealer for my first oil change on Monday. I understand peoples concerns with the quality of service these days. However I'm getting to the age where changing oil is not an activity that I find enjoyable anymore. Hopefully it all goes ok for me and my Maverick.
  17. Auto Shutoff/Start doesn't work...

I noticed the engine off/on wasn't working once last month. After I drove for awhile it started working. I also surmised that the battery may have been a bit low since I hadn't driven my Maverick for over a week.
