The funny thing is, if Ford had named it the Ranchero, people still would have liked the look of it and also loved the price and would have liked the features.
If it had been named Ranchero, someone probably would have asked a question on the forum if Maverick (or other Ford retired name) would...
But isn't there a third attaching point that goes under the end of the rail?
I just watched a video that shows two bolts on one side and another on the other side. If with a rail it goes under the end and without the rail it just bolts to the side of the bed.
I thought $1200 was a lot for a throttle body and did a quick look online multiple online Ford sites show under $180 for throttle body and gasket +tax & shipping, so probably $200.
Seems like $1k to install a throttle body is a bit much, but that's just me.
Get a wireless obd2 adapter and use an app that matches your phone (I use Carscanner on an iPhone) and then either mount your phone to see live data or use carplay to display on the infotainment screen.
I watch various things including the ice coolant temp
As mentioned, a lot of insurance companies will cover star\stone chips at no charge\no deductible, because they'd rather cover that than cover the cost of replacing the windshield, especially with all of the safety stuff connected to the windshield.
It can't hurt to check with your insurance...
I have 3,200 miles on mine and just got a star chip in the passenger size windshield. The worst part was it was a schmuck who cut in front of me and kicked up a stone.
Checked in with my insurance company and as part of the insurance, they cover fixing stone/star chips at no charge. So I'm...
Saw on a car show where they did a stripe around the rim of the wheel to add a nice accent and that's what I was suggesting by the pic.
As for photoshop, I actually just used Windows Paint and took me about a minute and a half
For the record, I suggested the '25 because of reasons that I listed and others have expounded upon.
With that said, while I really prefer knobs for hvac, if there had not been a new '24 with the features that I wanted, I would have gone for a '25 for the aforementioned reasons.
I would have...
That’s exactly what I did. Got a ‘24 with 42 miles on it and the dealer wanted to move it out and I got an XLT with Lux pkg and 360 copilot, out the door just under $30k.
Very happy with my purchase
Brand new, with two more years of warranty, plus you might not know how it was maintained, plus you can get AWD if you wanted.
Along with other updates on the refreshed ‘25, including the larger infotainment screen and more standard safety features.
im others will add even more reasons shortly
