Oh yeah, the 65 month is definitely a better deal overall. I just wanted the flexibility of having a slightly lower payment. Plus I'll most likely be investing the difference which at a conservative 4% growth rate will at least make up half of what the additional interest will be.

Just my local finance manager at my local dealer which ended up using Capital One. I was surprised that he never even mentioned Ford Credit, but I'm guessing that he knew that he wouldn't be able to match my rate through them.

I just got Ford to match DCU at 1.24 for 65 months through Capital One financing. They also came up with a rate of 1.75 for 72 months which actually beat DCU so I went with that.

I just finalized the paperwork for my Maverick, though I can't take delivery yet because of the stop sale/fuel tank recall. Normally I wouldn't have finalized anything until the vehicle was ready, but this is for an XLT Lux that I found at a local dealer for MSRP (!), so I wanted to lock it in...

UPDATE: Thankfully, I got a call on Monday saying that the vehicle is in fact mine. I went ahead and finalized the paperwork last night! Unfortunately it's still pending the fuel tank repair, but according to the salesperson, it should only be another week or two. Hoping that's accurate!

I found a stock XLT hybrid (pending fuel tank repair) that was literally my exact ordered build/color + the lux package at my local Ford dealership for MSRP, so it is possible to find deals even in big cities. That said, I realize how lucky I was, and I haven't found anything like that near me...

Just looked back and I got them from Pfeiffer Wholesale Parts. They're Ford brand though. It actually looks like I only spent ~$75 total on them, so I just marked them down to $55 + shipping.

It was delivered on the exact estimated delivery date. Unfortunately for me it is under the fuel tank recall :cry:
