Approaching my initial oil change on my new 25 Mav 2.0 EB and I'm wondering what filter beside the Motorcraft FL-2127 has anyone used or recommends? It's a little dicey crossing them. I know the threads are 22x1.5 vs 3/4x16 (on the previous 910-S). I'm perfectly fine with going the Motorcraft...
I'd be fine running the Motorcraft full Syn but I'm factoring price into the equation. If Mobil 1 EP is cheaper and better quality oil on paper than it's a win win. And that's what I'm after. "Best" oil at the best price point that makes sense. Also, I couldn't agree with you more on the higher...
Thank you for some insightful and real world experience and feedback. What specific Amsoil are you using? And how many miles is your oil change indicator suggesting an oil change with heavy usage?
On my 2006 Toyota Scion I change brand oil and filters all the time. I've been using Costco Kirkland oil and whatever filter is on sale as of late with 169,000 miles and no issues. But it's not direct the same beast as the 2.0 EB. I planned on using the same oil in my Maverick, hence my desire...
Yes, they are indeed decent oils. But there is a difference between those and Mobil 1 as well as other top tier brands. The additive package isn't the same. I'm told the newer direct injection engines benefit from a more robust additive package. Early oil change intervals would seem likely using...
I was specifically referring to the oils I mentioned in my original post. I know this subject can elicite some colorful dialogue. I can assure you that it's not my intention, merely asking some questions to a group of fellow Mav owners. I know I can go with Wally World super tech or any other...
I'm open to using Motorcraft Full Syn Oil, I just assumed it would be more expensive than the jugs of Mobil 1. If it's more advantageous or contains a more robust/specific additive package then by all means I'll use it.
Just laid down the keesh for a new 25 Mav XLT, 4K, FX4, LUX PKG. I know this can be a contentious subject but here goes... I've been a Mobil 1 guy for some time now. My question is which oil would be most beneficial/better for the 2.0 EB? Mobil 1 EP or the Mobil 1 ESP? I've searched and sifted...
This is what I was basically thinking. Thank you, I just needed to hear it from someone else who got a far better deal than me! I'm going to try and beat them up more or just pull the trigger on a 2025. I do like the refresh, just not the price increase.... ahhh decisions!
I tried to buy a 24 Mav in November of last year right before the stop sale was issued for backup camera. I'm still waiting for the truck but wondering if the deal I originally had with them is okay or not. Sticker is $32,430. We agreed on $33,500 OTD price. I'd be getting it for $30,937 before...
I think the blame lies squarely on Fords shoulders. This is no fault of anyone but their own. Manufacturers all over the globe can make cameras that function. I hate gov't intervention as much as everyone else, but they're not the issue here.
I hear you man it's a tough position to be in. I'd tell them they can have your truck back unless they discount the Lariat to an amazing price. I see a big dilemma approaching on the horizon. Ford is going to have so many 24 Mavs backed up they're not going to know what to do with them...
This must be something else then... Or the update you had done at the dealer didn't actually resolve the issue entirely. I can't imagine that there is a fix for this and there's only a handful of dealerships who have the ability to see it thru. Something just isn't adding up.
The Maverick checks every box that I have or need. It fits in my small single car garage, gets decent mpg, has a small bed for when I need to "haul" some things, tow my small boat, AWD, etc. I can assure you it wasn't because it's a FORD! I just can't get over the price of a Tacoma as much as I...
This will be interesting to see how this all plays out. 2025s will be coming and there will be dealer lots overflowing with 2024s that no one can test drive/buy. Perhaps I smell a better deal in the future? Maybe this did happen for a reason...
Yeah, I don't understand how some are "fixed" and others aren't. According to every thing I've come across there is no fix for it. Maybe dealerships are skirting by praying nothing happens.
